HOLYSHEET!!! I’ve had some good donuts around the country, but d$&n, these were fantastic! Very light, not dense, sweet but not too sweet, I only had the maple bacon and coconut cream, but definitely will be going often to try everything else! Wait a minute, I can’t wait… heading back now!

Super unique donut shop! I’m typically not very adventurous with donuts but these are all creative and scrumptious!

I am donut OBSESSED, so this was a great find for me. Cute little shop with high-quality, delicious donuts. They’re a little pricey(~2.50/donut), but it’s worth it for these fresh pastries! I recommend the cinnamon sugar & dark chocolate filled powdered donuts.

It was our first time in Charleston and we had heard great things about this donut shop. Much to our disappointment we got there about 10:45 in the morning to find out they had sold out of donuts at 10 am!!! They are open til 3 but nothing to sell but coffee, NODONUTS!!! They had no plans to make anymore. Big disappointment, wont bother going out of way way next time!

I’ve tried a few different types of donuts from Glazed and was fairly impressed but not enough to get up early to get the variety I want. They have different donuts everyday, and you can check their daily flavors on Facebook. Their atmosphere is cute but nothing special for the price of the donuts(all over $ 2 each).

Apple bacon fritter — closest Fritter to Portland, Oregon’s award winning donut shop Blue Star Donuts. A+ donuts. Quality. The décor for the shop was super cute. Great service. We stopped by just before lunch on a Thursday and there was no line and still about a dozen and a half donuts left. I will be coming again!

Glazed has commandeered the doughnut market in Charleston, so if you’re a doughnut connoisseur, this should be your one(and only, since it literally is the only) stop for a tasty treat. We ordered three donuts and they threw in an extra for free! Raspberry(tasted a little artificial), chocolate(awesome, definitely high quality cocoa used!), orange pistachio(delicious flavor, sweet and tangy!) and maple bacon(OK but not great). Grab a hot coffee to pair with your treats, and you’ll be one happy camper. Overall, Glazed had good doughnuts, but definitely neither the best nor creative that I’ve had. I think with so many other breakfast/treat options around, I wouldn’t rush back to spend my calories… I mean money… here.

Glazed always has interesting flavors to choose from if you get there early enough to get one! Glazed is definitely motivation to get out of bed early to get downtown!

The«Black and White» donut at Glazed is simply scrumptious! The donut texture is amazingly moist, the powdered sugar coating is delicate, and the dark chocolate filling complements the sweetness perfectly! The only downfall is that if you don’t get there early in the morning(before 10AM), the place produces a line out the door. Also, there’s only metered street parking since it’s in downtown Charleston. The prices are a bit gourmet, but I’ve honestly never had a donut that was as delicious as the«Black and White.» I would definitely recommend this place for that specific donut!

Yum doughnuts!!! First thing to put in my mouth in Charleston, definitely a nice start :). Located on king street in a cute donut café, this place is delicious. The donuts were beautifully crafted with glaze glaze glaze everywhere. I got the maple bacon donut and it was devoured. Perfect balance of sweet and salty and the actual dough of the donut was soft with a slight chew to it. Highly recommended for a quick stop if you’re in the neighborhood and is craving some sweets!

Full disclosure: the rating doesn’t reflect the quality of the doughnuts, coffee or service because the shop was closed when I visited on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3. I was there during what should have been regular store hours, but both times, the restaurant was closed with no one in sight. As a tourist visiting from maryland, I had heard lots of nice things about the doughnuts here, but I could only leave with an empty stomach. UPDATED: After reading the owner’s response, I am willing to amend my review from one star to two stars. But let me say that downtown Charleston was not closed on Friday, Oct. 2. Because Glazed was not open, I got breakfast at Hot Little Biscuit, which was busy. I ate wings at Kickin’ Chicken. And I took a tour of Charleston Distillery that afternoon. I hope the city makes a full and speedy recovery from the floods.

While I was hoping for larger, richer, and heartier concoctions, I’ll give Glazed Gourmet this much: they make a pretty good donut and these things taste light and allow for you to get away feeling like you are eating something semi-healthy! Came by yesterday and bought 16 donuts, including the regular glazed, the chocolate sprinkled, an orange cream-filled, a raspberry glazed, a maple bacon, an apple fritter and a honey bun. I tried all but the chocolate sprinkled; generally all of these were good to great. Now, for $ 39 and change, I was expecting bigger donuts, so just know going in that these are NOT the biggest donuts on the block. But Glazed Gourmet seems to be going for artsy with these things, which fits with the high-end shopping available all over this street. Not a bad option; doesn’t rival my fave donut shops in other cities but I’ll come back here if we return to the Charleston area!

Pros: Very unique flavors that are very tasty. This place is really cute on the outside and is a hidden gem on King street. It’s not overdone, but their doughnuts are to die for. They have t-shirts and cute stickers. Great coffee menu. Cons: No gluten-free doughnuts. Nearly sold out by noon on a Sunday. You can’t get exactly what you want because they only have 12 flavors available everyday. The store smelled a tad damp to me.

Glazed was a beautiful, gourmet donut store. There was a long line as we approached the bakery. The ship was decorated so pretty. The donuts were on beautiful cake stands. Wonderful flavors to choose from. We ordered six. Raspberry, black and white, apple fritter, coconut and Dulce De Banana. Each one was delicious and very fresh. Pricey donuts but well worth them.

I can only speak to the iced chai here as we only stopped in for a coffee break, but that was wonderful. Glazed is a cute little doughnut shop on King Street that you can tell probably runs out of donuts well before closing time every day. The service was friendly and quick and the line moved quickly. I never needed to stop here for breakfast but I think next time in Charleston I will make it a priority to pop in and grab a donut.

I had hoped to try one of the unique flavors shown on the website, such as the pomegranate, white chocolate mint, strawberry kiwi, the purple goat, strawberry basil lime, or raspberry Nutella. Unfortunately none of these flavors were on sale today. Instead, I tried the raspberry glazed. It was AMAZING. I do have a soft spot for donuts, but this one was crazy good. It(mostly) softened my disappointment. I would recommend you arrive early, as we arrived around 9:30 and a few flavors were already sold out. Cute shop, overall a good experience.

I got the apple bacon fritter. It was warm, crispy, with chunks of apple. My friend got the Purple Goat, she said she decided she didn’t really love lavender in food because it reminds her of cleaning products, but the goat cheese part was very good. My friend didn’t love the coffee, she thought it seemed weak. I thought the coffee was fine, but I added a decent amount of half and half. Cute local place, I love that they are made fresh daily.

I love glazed! I really appreciate the craft and care that they put into all of their unique flavors! I’ve been here a few times and I am always floored by how distinct, and gourmet all the flavors are in each of their doughnuts. Everything tastes exactly how it sounds and not artificial. Recently, I had the raspberry, orange pistachio, and the chocolate filled powdered doughnut. The raspberry really shines in the frosting and is one of my favorites! The orange + pistachio is a great pairing, but i’m just not a big fan of citrus desserts. My husband really enjoyed it though. The chocolate filled doughnut was yummy but I wish the chocolate was more gooey. The regular ring doughnuts were $ 2.25 and the filled doughnut was $ 2.50. The doughnuts are huge and are definitely worth the price! I also got«the dirty elephant»(amazing name) which is a drink made with white chocolate, chai, and espresso. $ 3.95 The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere feels like a typical coffee shop with lots of places to sit. I love taking people here when visiting Charleston because it’s one of the unique things we have to offer here!

Ahhhh. Glazed. In Charleston, I have found two options for donuts. Cheap, bleh donuts, and Glazed. Yes, they are a little more expensive. Yes, some of their combinations are strange. Yes, you have to get there hella-early to grab your favorites. Hear me: it is worth it. Glazed isn’t afraid to push the donut limits, creating delights such as the purple goat(goat cheese, berries, lavender glaze). Plus, they let you call in orders if you can’t make it there right when they open!
