Good quality sushi. Small place, very nice owners.

One of the best places for sushi I have found in a long time. The owner treats each customer like they were part of his own family. The only hard part was closing which thing to try… so we decided on just about everything. Each item came out and you couldn’t believe it could get better. And definite recommended!

Really great place to grab sushi for lunch, quaint atmosphere and fresh fish for a good price. Lots of selection and can handle parties plus the host /chef is super fun to talk to while your at the bar.

Sushi is always super fresh, and menu has a wide range of authentic Japanese entrees and appetizers. Highly recommend the soba noodles with dipping sauce. Fuji, the owner, really puts care into the preparation and presentation in the restaurant, and makes sure to-go orders are made promptly. All this makes up for the small space and lack of drinks and desserts. Also, if the reef shop part weirds you out, it appears to be closed.

For a long time, I’ve heard mostly good things about Fuji’s; so last week I gave it a try. I’m a sushi novice and have no high expectations. However, I left there extremely disappointed. The seaweed in my blue crab rolls was inedible, and virtually impossible to chew. It was so tough, fibrous and fabric-like; it was not possible to bite through the roll without causing it to disintegrate. I may try them once more. I’ll only give them half a star now.

Without a doubt this is the best sushi in Charleston, and it is one of Charleston’s best kept secrets. Hidden away by a BP station is Fuji’s Sushi(formerly it also included a reef shop). The gyoza is homemade(make sure to ask though, as he can run out of his homemade dumplings); the sushi is more traditional and the highest quality in town; the chicken teriyaki is downright addictive; and the various specials are always a treat. Do yourself a favor and track down Fuji’s — you won’t be disappointed, but be sure to call in reservations for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, as they only have about fifteen seats.

I was excited to find a place that served what looked like real Japanese food. My bad. It was disgusting. The place was dark and dank and a hole in the wall, which is not necessarily a bad thing but on this occasion it was. It sells fish for aquariums and you think you walked into a pet-land type store when going in. The food was nothing at all like real Japanese food. The sauce was disgusting the food was off except for the rice it was sticky and a very nice consistency. I don’t recommend personally.
