Worst customer service I have EVER experienced… They have routinely unfriendly bank tellers who are more interested in talking to each other then actually helping customers. Not to mention, I go to use my card and they tell me it was canceled because of «data breach.» The won’t tell you what caused it and I found out while trying to purchase something from the store. No letter or call, and just like that I had to wait to get a new card, change all of my billing information for EVERYTHING, and they didn’t seem to care that I WASNOT made aware of this. Not to mention, their online program sucks. You can’t access it ever.

A solid bank with many account options, the staff is helpful and have helped me many times just by phone. Their internet banking is easy and straightforward, quite useful in balancing your books,

I’ve banked with First Mid for about 10 years, and have never had any issues with them. When I was living in Charleston, I frequented the branch on The Square because I lived close. The tellers know you on a first-name basis and enjoy discussing this-and-that, instead of simply hurrying you through the line. I just moved to Champaign, and hopefully my experiences with that branch will also be positive.
