My favorite pizza place in town! I haven’t had one pizza that I didn’t love. I particularly like that it has the to go option. The thin crust and fresh marinara sauce is what draws me back every time. I’ve never dined in but that is my next goal. My favorite is the margarita pizza.

Have been here multiple times since my last review, both dining in and carry out. The food is consistently great, and I’ve enjoyed the various pizza and calzone combinations. The atmosphere is low key and comfortable. They offer a good selection of beers, including local breweries and a rotating $ 3 draft. At most places this would be a cheap light beer, but each time I’ve gone has been a solid craft beer choice. Absolutely recommend going here for some of the best pizza Charleston has to offer!

Really good pizza!!! I ordered pick-up after driving 10 hours from Florida and it was worth it. The bare naked was very yummy. I have to try pie in every city I go to, and upon walking in, I gathered this was a cool locals spot. Nice job, y’all!

This place was amazing! We got the margarita and it was divine. The cheese and tomatoes were so fresh and the crust was thin but very tasty. There was a pretty good beer selection and the service was fast/friendly. Would definitely return and recommend. Also a family friendly type place.

Good choice for a quick lunch. Place was not crowded. Not an impressive beer collection, but pizza was good and came out quick. Thin quality pizza pies. Suggest the Margarita Pizza as it had plenty of tomato sauce and ingredients.

Always go here when visiting Charleston. This last time was better than ever. The place was slammed and had about 2 servers on, but we still got food/drinks in good time. Got the public educator and a local beer. Great experience again.

Crust was perfect. Service was quick. Best hole in the wall pizza outside of new york in ages. We got the it’s not easy being green pie. And had the 16 inch pie with my wife and 2 yr old son. Perfect size. No leftovers to talk about. Wish they did pizza by the slice too.

Pizza was OK for Charleston I suppose. We opted to order them pick up due to an HR delivery time… no biggie right? Wrong, we were put on hold every time we called for extended periods of time, we finally ordered via online. Told it would be ready in 20… we walk over in 15 minutes only to wait another 30 plus to actually get our pizza… which was soggy and half assed cut. Very disappointed in my pizza experience here, thank god the Midwest has way better pizza. I won’t bother with this spot on my next visit to the city. BTW while standing in the place waiting for our pizza, we saw the female waitress answer the phone and say… can I put you on hold… only to walk away and do other things, never going back to the numerous calls. This was also a week day, I feel bad Charleston doesn’t have more choices for good pizza. Buy a frozen one and save 15.00−20.00 and your time

Boy do I love D’Als. This is your classic pizza joint, complete with perfectly dimmed yellow lighting(actually, really nice natural light for lunch too!) and lots of ephemera to distract you from hunger while you wait for your delicious food to arrive. I love hitting up their 4−8pm happy hour specials, and recently went for their lunch special which is SOSOLID. It is rare to find a place in Charleston where you can get waiter service and delicious food for under $ 10, but by jove this is it. The service is awesome too, the guys and gals are so friendly and accommodating(Tim K, for real?!). I ordered a calzone once and they left out one of the ingredients — I asked if they could just bring me some on the side so I could add-as-I-ate, and they brought me nearly a whole bowl!!! A WHOLEBOWL! It was awesome because I love me some peppadews. Which brings me to their ingredient list: all the classics and so much more. Something for even the most discerning pizza snob. One thing to note — as with all pizza joints, it is much better fresh than delivered. But, still really tasty for delivery. D’Als Pizza Love 4 eva.

Delicious D’Als is a well paired alliteration. The pizza prices are a real deal especially the lunch combos which even run on the weekend too which is quite rare in Charleston. My go to on a Saturday is combo #11 topping pizza, side salad and a drink for $ 7.50. Can’t beat it! Same goes for their beer as well. There’s one rotating draft for 3 bucks and over 20 or so bottle and can options for reasonable prices. There’s a ton of options for gourmet pizzas. If you are tight on time, just do carry out. It is a hole in the wall pizza place so it seems like service is slacking since there is usually one or 2 waiters for the place. The food comes out fast though so as soon as you get your order in, most of the waiting has been done! It’s a good thing this restaurant is walkable distance to my house for that pizza craving. Side note, the booths have a pretty cool drop down pizza pan that also disguises as wall art. Took my sister and I a bet to figure out what it was.

Great pizza, with a nice flaky crust. I can see they use fresh ingredients by looking at the pineapple in their kitchen. Super unique, local inside. No place fancy, but very nice for great pizza!

Their pizza is simply amazing. It is a simple joint but don’t let that fool you. The artisan pizzas they put out are fantastic. Beer selection is pretty dang good too. The staff are some of the friendliest you will find anywhere. i especially suggest sitting at the counter seats and chatting up the pizza chefs.

Yummy! Now I know what all the excitement is about. The pizza was amazing despite ordering it to go! I really enjoyed every last bite and I eat the crust last so no leaving that behind either! :)

Holy mole! It’s 10:30pm and I’m surrounded by college kids in this great town. Low and behold there’s a pizza joint across the street from my rental. It’s too perfect to be coincidence. Ring ring — «I’d like a spicy Benny please». 15min later, I’m watching MNF and crushing this super delish pizza! Crust is perfect combo of flaky /crisp /soft. Pizza this good shouldn’t be this easy to enjoy. I’m literally eating and writing this at the same time.

Stopped in here on a Saturday night while staying at the Charleston Maritime Center. Had the Meat Lovers pizza and the Italian salad. Service was good and the pizza and salad were really good. Cooked well with lots of toppings. They didn’t skimp on the meat and cheese in the salad either. Way better than chain restaurant pizza in a fun and friendly atmosphere. What more can you ask for. Give them a try if you are in Charleston and you are in the mood for pizza.

Don’t eat in! Service is terrible BUT… The pizza is AMAZING! That being said, D’Als is a true value in Elliotborough. They are one of the founders for the uprise of this neighbourhood. They saw the potential and they have only grown ever since. The pizza’s are the real deal. The medium sized pizza is perfect for 2 while the small is good for 1.5 people. There’s a wait whenever you order but that’s only because they want to offer good quality

I had recently ordered a handful of pizzas for a group and everyone loved them making me the delivery hero of the day! I’ve had D’als a couple other times before that, but what I realized was that I had never actually been there. Well, I solved that problem when a friend suggested we go there for lunch the other day. I already knew the pizza was good from my past delivery experiences, but I had no idea about their bangin’ lunch specials. We ordered a Chauncinator and a huge house salad for thirteen bucks or so… what a deal. The simple setup inside reminded me of some of my favorite pizza spots up north and the arms that fold down from the wall to hold a pie was a unique touch. Not my favorite pizza hands down, but I’d say it’s one of the best around Charleston for sure.
