Crosby’s is the best go to seafood market for fresh shrimp and fish. They offer shrimp with heads on in small and large sizes. I take home 25 lbs and double freezer bag it so I have South Carolina shrimp in my North Georgia kitchen. It’s always good to have some low country food on the table, and Crosby’s makes it a reality for this Georgia girl.

We spent our anniversary weekend in Charleston and hubby wanted to bring back some fresh seafood from the coast. As usual, I turned to Unilocal and saw the raving reviews of this place, most notably how it’s not overpriced. Well, something must have changed. We bought a pound of scallops and three pounds of snapper. Our jaws almost dropped when the price came to almost $ 50! I’ll stick with my local farmers market from now on, thank you very much. Service also wasn’t very friendly. The woman seemed almost eager to rush us out of the shop.

Man I like the cheap beers and fishing here ! The shark and shrimp we bought with their in house seasoning made some great appetizers on the beach. My family also went paddle boarding for an hour or two and had a blast. On my way out I saw a few large sting rays close to shore swimming around the dock. Also a good spot for seeing Dolphins play around.

Great place for the freshet local seafood. The swordfish we got here was some of the best ever. We also picked up some shrimp to boil. They have an awesome selection of fresh seafood.

Folly Beach, SC
Crosbys seafood is a real Folly Beach landmark and it’s a great family run business and it supports a lot of local fishermen shrimpers and oystermen.
They have really good hours and they always have some good fresh selections and you really can’t be there deals on the oysters during oyster season.
They also have a lot of cool doc parties where you can get some authentic location tree seafood and good Lowcountry boil

Great fish selection. Fresh. Honest… told me the shrimp wasn’t local that day and I appreciate the honesty. Wahoo and Grouper was delicious and we will stop here on our way out of town.

I stopped at Crosby’s while vacationing in Folly Beach, the freshest shrimp and fish I have had in years! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come to Crosby’s next year when we return; but next time I will eat there and buy shrimp & fish to take home in Maryland. Prices are very reasonable, some of the best prices in or around Folly Beach.
Highly recommend!

On our recent vacation we stopped in at Crosby’s as they were close to our house. We asked the staff about buying some local fish and they recommended the Wreck fish so we obliged. We also picked up a few pounds of shrimp. The shrimp was the best I’ve had. It was awesome. The Wreck fish was an excellent choice. The whole family enjoyed our purchase and we wouldn’t have done it without the helpful staff.
If we come back to the area we will definitely be coming back to Crosby’s. I highly recommend them. Go, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a place dear to my heart. A place where you’ll be treated like a real person and can get wild, local, seasonal seafood year round. Suppose the shrimp are not in season, Crosby’s will usually have some from near to our area. They are always up front about what a fish is and where it’s from. Prices are usually the best in the area. Go here for your crab boil supplies. Go here for your live bait before you hit the surf or the pier. Or you can pay the $ 2 and fish the small dock they have there for whiting, croaker and speckled trout. The Friday dinner on the dock is always fun. A Folly beach institution for a reason.

When it comes to good fresh seafood Crosby’s is my go to market. It’s a rather small market upstairs from the marina in a beautiful location on Folly.
I’ve bought some of the best local shrimp and live crabs from here; and when I think about cooking up some good seafood Crosby’s is the first place that comes to mind. Only a couple of miles down the road, so that makes it very convenient for me to run down and grab some crab when I need to.
The staff here is great and if they don’t have something in stock they are more than happy to place an order for you if you have time to wait or let you know when a certain seafood delight will be delivered.

Good quality seafood! I’ve been here a few times for shrimp and fish. So far, I’m a happy camper :)
I noticed there are days when they have live music with people sitting out to the side of the store. What a nice way to get people to check the place out! It’s also perfectly situated for tourists to pick up seafood on their way home from Folly Beach (that’s what I did when I was JUST visiting before).
Anyway, although it’s a small little store, it has just what you need to have a good meal (veggies & seasonings too)!

Crosby’s is THE source for fresh seafood in the Folly Beach area. During our two weeks at the shore each summer, we stop by almost every day for fresh local shrimp and the fabulous local wreckfish (a.k.a. stone bass) that we can only get when we come down this way. Everything here is fresh off the boat — and supremely tasty off our grill! Just across the parking lot is an outdoor farm stand — a convenient way to round out your meal with fresh local produce. Plus Crosby’s also sells live bait, fishing tackle, beer, and ice. Highly recommended!
