I’ve decided to give an updated rating since I just sold my home and moved. I still do not like the particles of CMG and how they handle the client relationship. Everything is still very old school and methodical. However, after leaving a review 8 months ago I will say I appreciate the owner of CMG reaching out to me and offering his support in any way to fix my issues. That was very first class of him and professional. What would make this better I think would be if there was better and more updated communication with homeowners directly from CMG when there are problems. We live in a technology age and communication can be greatly improved by emailing clients of something outstanding vs just sending statements in the mail that may never be received.

Our community has been managed by CMG for a little over a year and it’s been an excellent experience overall. Betty, our manager, has been responsive, supportive & very proficient in handling the community’s affairs, a well-earned 5 stars.

Would have to agree with most of the other reviews. CMG is really lacking as a HOA. I recently sent 3 emails in a month’s span, and none were replied to. It’s disappointing to see a company who’s main feature should be customer service operate like CMG does. I looked at the list of properties they manage, and it’s pretty clear why they have issues. Obviously they are in the business to grow, but maybe they would benefit by reducing the number of properties they oversee. I would like to see our neighborhood seek a different company, and I certainly will not buy another property managed by CMG.

CMG is terrible! My husband and I have lived in a neighborhood in Cane Bay for the last seven years. The surrounding neighborhoods not run by CMG look amazing. Our landscaping is almost nonexistent. We are ignored anytime we have a request, or worse, told it isn’t in the budget. We pay two different hoa fees that are more expensive than most communities… yet a Christmas wreath on the entrance or some flowers are not in the budget? Not to mention the amenities center we were promised for seven years still has yet to be built. What do they do for the community? They fine homeowners for trivial things and put a lien on the homes of people who pay dues faithfully but dispute a late fee from seven years prior. Do not hire this company.

My husband and I have lived at the Lakes of Summerville for 7 years. We have had an extremely positive relationship with Krista, Suzanne and Amanda. If there has/is an issue that requires CMG’s involvement we only need to make a phone call or send an email and it is usually resolved within a reasonable amount of time. Sometimes the situation needs follow-up, which is always handled again, within a reasonable amount of time. Having lived in other communities where there is management company involvement, we believe CMG is one of the best and we would recommend them to anyone who requested a recommendation.
