My girlfriend and I ate here on a rainy Monday night, so it was a little slow. I wish we could have eaten here on a busy night as we got the impression it is a fun place. Between us we had Southern Fried Okra, Pepper Jack Pimento Cheese Dip, Beer-Battered Onion Rings and a That’s My Jam Burger. It was more than enough and we took some with us. The selection of beer was just about right without being overwhelming and they offer $ 10 flights as well. Great place and definitely recommended!

This is one of my favorite places in Charleston. It’s perfect for everyone. Families can come and let their kids play in the outdoor area, couples can enjoy a nice dinner, and groups of friends can hang out at the bar. For me, the best part is being able to sit inside and eat at the bar on a hot day and still feel like I’m outside. The windows open up to the street, so you can stay cool and comfortable and still get an outdoor vibe. The staff is friendly and laid-back. It’s the kind of place people visit again and again, so you have your neighborhood regulars and it’s always a fun crowd. I never knew that mac and cheese bites were a thing until I came here. Had no idea what I was missing. Check this place out; you’ll love it.

I absolutely love Bohemian Bull. A very casual laid back restaurant, the total atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting. From children to adults, the place has something for everyone to enjoy. Even though the place was extremely packed, the service was quick and food came to the table quickly. For an appetizer, we had the pub nachos, which were okay. The cheese on the nachos is rather strong, but it’s good for bar food atmosphere. I highly recommend the truffle burger, it was so delicious, I wanted another one. I changed from their beef burger to a chicken patty. The patty was extremely juicy and melted in my mouth. I would highly recommend it. The place has an amazing selection of ever-changing drafts. My only recommendation is ask not to sit at the one table in the middle of the bar area. It’s an awkward location and people are constantly walking by.

The bartenders are so friendly and the atmosphere is so inviting. Having an indoor outdoor option is key! The bar is always clean and it’s never a rowdy crowd. Definitely a go to of mine.

This is a fantastic burger + more place between Charleston and Folly Beach. They have a great craft beer selection and some good bar drinks. We ordered the fried okra as an appetizer and it was amazing. They fry the okra as a whole piece, give you some good sauce to dip it in, and you’re in heaven. My friends ordered the mac and cheese and had similar feelings. To eat, I had a truffle burger and it was very good. The place has a great vibe to it, great food, and we were able to walk right in a get a table. Although it was a little on the later side.

This is a good casual place to grab a meal and a beer… The outside dining area is fun when the bugs aren’t biting… Nice low key atmosphere for everyone of all ages. The truffle burger is absolute burger perfection. I stick with hamburgers when I go, as the rest of the menu is not too exciting. Service is always friendly and efficient too!

Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend who said they have the best burgers in town and they were absolutely right. The truffle burger was heaven in burger form. We asked for our wings to be extra crispy and they came out perfect(citrus pepper). They also have a diverse and fun selection of beer with every kind of liquor one could want. And above the food and drink the décor and atmosphere was fun, colorful and bohemian. Our bartender was charming and had the most in depth knowledge of beer possible. Next time we are here we can’t wait to check out the back patio which was closed for a private party. 5 stars all the way.

Awful. Just awful. Incredibly slow service and when we finally got our ‘pulled pork’ bowl it was chunks of fatty pork ends only. Even the manager came out and said they had run out of pulled pork and the kitchen ‘half-assed’ it. Unacceptable.

Delicious food, particularly the burgers and BLT sandwich! Fried mac n cheese bites are a great side item. I’ve never had a bad burger here and the pimento cheese BLT is probably my favorite item. I’m also a fan of their mimosas and frozen drink specials. Good selection of beer. My only complaint is although the staff is very friendly, service is slow sometimes. Very good food, good prices, great atmosphere.

My favorite burger place on JI! They don’t have a huge selection of specialty burgers but they do have a good variety of types and a bunch of options for building your own. I’ve never tried anything but the burgers but they also have a good selection of sandwiches and salads(and a black bean veggie burger and turkey burger if you’re into that sort of thing…). They also have one of the best selections of beer on James Island(draught and bottled/canned)! They even have a gluten free beer… I didn’t know that was a thing and it kind of bums me out. There’s a big bar and decent outdoor patio area as well. Definitely a place for a good burger and brew(and other complimentary fare if you’re company is not so inclined)!!

So this place is really close to home so I am a little biased. If I had to drive way out of the way may not like it as well. Food is pretty good. Fried okra and sauce is out of this world whether u live close by or not. Burgers, salads or sandwiches are all good but the beer list and atmosphere will bring you back time after time. Great place to have a cocktail or craft beer AND bring the kids. Big back yard with games for kids and adults alike. Oh! And Spencer, our server, was super awesome and great to deal with our crazy requests and whacky kids.

Search no further for beer and burgers. Large wall of taps at the bar with local favorites. The burgers are much more creative than you average burger joint, and always hit the spot. FRIEDOKRAISAWESOME! First time I have ever seen the entire okra fried in one piece in a crisp beer batter. Great combo! My favorite burger is the Truffle burger. Mushrooms and Gouda mix great together and the quality of meat is good for a burger place. I typically order to go as I live right down the street and the order is always accurate. I have gotten to the point where i don’t even do the«is everything there» check in the car anymore.

Garlic and Parmesan wings were amazing. With that being said, the service pretty much sucked. Our server did not write our orders down which resulted in us receiving the wrong food. When she tried to correct it, it happened again(breakfast burger without maple syrup). We just kind of gave up at sending our food back a second time and struggled through. It’s simple though — if you’re busy, write it down!

We chose this as the starting point to my friend’s bachelor’s weekend. After a 4 hour drive, a pimento cheese burger was the medicine the dr. ordered… well, maybe not a cardiologist. Anyway… A solid beer selection, a really cool patio with games and some perfect weather make this place a destination in Charleston. We hung around after eating some lunch and played games and drank beers for another few hours. The only minor downside was the ever present Charleston no-see-ums that began to take their toll and eventually ran us off. Otherwise, great experience.

So the last time(and i mean the LAST time) i was there, i walked in, walked into the bar and sat down at a table. A few minutes later, i was actually reprimanded by the hostess that in order to be seated i had to be seated by a member of the host staff and that these tables were reserved for another party. I looked for any signage noting that and found none. When i suggested that a member of the host staff actually be at the door to assist guests if they were going to enforce such a policy, she responded in a condescending smart @ss tone that she was busy helping other guests, just like she was helping me right now. I didnt feel helped. i felt like walking out. If this is how they want people’s experience to start out, then this clearly isnt the place for me. Our service was slow, the food wasnt much to remember, and they only make Chiladas on sunday. Beer, lime juice, tomato juice. only on sundays. maybe if i ordered a red eye and a lime i could have made my own. Maybe i was already tainted by the experience with the hostess… but when im back in town, this place wont be on my list to visit.

Definitely next level beer and burger joint and as much as I’d imagine there were more menu options, Wednesday Three Dollar Burger Special sounded just right. Three toppings later and you’ll soon be hovering around the five dollar range which for the quality of the meat and the service provided is a steal. Draft beers numbered close to twenty and change with frequently, yet none of the names looked at all familiar to me. This is a good thing, but relied heavily on my buddy to work the ordering. A chocolate lobster Porter? A grapefruit and pineapple bitter beer? All were spectacular and not readily available anywhere in my small little town of New York City.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! Today was my first time at Bohemian Bull. We went for brunch, and it was delicious! I started with a mimosa. The mimosa was perfectly mixed. We then decided to try the banana beignets.(Can’t remember what they called them) They were divine-the cinnamon glaze on top paired really well with the fried banana dough. I ordered the breakfast burrito without eggs, and added sausage. It was absolutely delicious-lots of flavor, filled with potatoes, peppers, onions, sausage. I can’t wait to go back and have it again! My sister ordered the 2 eggs, bacon, toast and grits. The bacon wasn’t very crisp, and the grits had a lump.(Though she said the grits were delicious) I really like the ambience here and can’t wait to go back soon!

I’ve been here 20 plus times and I’d have to say the majority of the time I have come here has been above average to good. Only had one bad experience — it was with a Philly cheese steak that was burnt. It looked good on the hoagie, but as soon as i bit into it, it tasted charred beyond edible. I set it aside uneaten and just had another beer — too my surprise no one asked about the sandwich being uneaten or the quality of the food. But I was asked if I’d like another beer, which was more important at the time. Beers are great, service is good and the food is for the most part consistent. The atmosphere is very bar like, but kids are welcome during the day and love to play in their backyard area. The menu can get old if you go once a week, but I always seem to find something new to try. I really like their build your own burger assortments — just know they do charge extra for lettuce and tomato, that was a first for me. If your not careful it’s not hard to hit 15 bucks for a burger if you get creative. On a side note. This place has really good margaritas — it caught me off guard. I rarely drink margaritas out, because of how cheap many establishments have gotten on the ingredients. After a long day at the beach, I order one, when I tried it — I realized it was freshly squeezed lime juice and it was served in a short glass, which I prefer. check this place out. It’s a strong 3.5 out 5 and getting better. I just wish they wouldn’t charge a dollar for lettuce and tomato… maybe I’m just cheap.

Bohemian Bull is one of my friend’s favorite bars. There is a front patio with bar stool open to the bar, a large bar and loungey area, restaurant section, and a great outdoor space with seating and outdoor games. The bar has a great selection of local beers on tap. We just got a couple appetizers to eat. We got the pretzel that comes with beer cheese and mustard. The pretzel is awesome for anyone who loves soft pretzels. We also got the fried mac and cheese bites that come with a mayo dipping sauce. They were also good. I liked the pretzel better. This is a great bar that’s located away from the craziness of the main Folly crowd. It is definitely worth checking out.
