Pretty atmosphere, very nice staff, good menue. Will be coming back often. The light placement at the bar makes it hard to see menue and is a little bright. My lox bagel was amazing al8ng with my mocha latte.

Great location for those of us on DI. Great atmosphere and facility. The dining area is open and comfortable. $ 7– $ 8 bagel sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch. I question the etiquette of having a tip jar and a spot for tips on the bill when you order and pick up at the counter. They close at 2 and I wonder if they are missing a chance to pick up Bishop England after school business. Anyway great place in great location with average product.

Beautifully designed restaurant. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I had a bagel sandwich with turkey and balsamic mayo. The ingredients tasted fresh and the result was delicious. I would recommend.

I had such high hopes when this opened but this fails on all attempts. On two separate visits now, I’ve been completely disappointed. Bagels are dense and heavy, coffee is burnt and bitter. The space is great and this has great potential. But so far, no dice. They need to get their basics right if they want to stay in business.

If I could give this establishment ZERO stars, I would, based on the RUDE and slow service. I paid $ 21 for a turkey sandwich, chips, and 3 cookies(not that I mind the cost — it’s the horrible way I was treated). They were slow, but extremely disorganized. When my to go order was finally ready, I checked the bag to make certain everything was there. I noticed the coleslaw and pickle that come with the sandwich were not inside the bag. I mentioned this to Carla. Carla turned toward the young lady who took my order and barked, «you know we don’t give out Cole Slaw and pickles for to go orders!» I felt embarrassed for the young lady. Carla turned her back to me and returned a few minutes later, shoving a tiny container with Coleslaw toward me. She never thanked me, said«I’m sorry for the misunderstanding,» nothing! What a poor way to treat a good customer! Shame on you, Carla!!! I will NEVER return and will certainly not recommend this place to anyone!

Easily the best breakfast /lunch spot for miles if you’re on Daniel Island. The bagels are not NY quality if that’s what you were hoping for, but they are still very good. Fresh ingredients and attention to detail is what you’ll get here. Also, the service was very good for a place that you order at a counter. Overall, great spot with an great atmosphere. I’m a fan.

We love that we can walk there on weekends to grab something! Great addition to the island. We always get the ham and swiss on a different type of bagel. Been there a bunch of times and happy every single time.

My wife and I have dined at Blondies Bagels & Café twice since it opened in December, once each for breakfast and lunch. The presentation and food quality is very good — far superior than Charleston Bagel located in Mount Pleasant. The newly opened café is nicely decorated and provides adequate seating, the owners clearly transformed the existing bar space. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a tasty breakfast or lunch. Hopefully Blondies is here to stay on DI. Where Blondies falls short is on the delivery side, during both visits we experienced a longer than average wait time for our food to arrive. The slow dining experience begins with the ordering process where only one cash register is available, resulting in long lines. During lunch we witnessed 4 groups of patrons(2 – 3 people in each) leave because of the long queue. For the lunch crowd with limited time, this is a major turn off. With many large businesses around the DI area, Blondies could really kill it during the lunch hour with faster service on both coffee and food preparation. In terms of value, Blondies is a bit expensive for lunch(breakfast is very reasonable). For example, my wife and I purchase two sandwiches, 1 soda, 1 iced coffee, and 1 bag of chips and it totaled just under $ 24.00. Taking into consideration alternative fast lunch spots(locally owned), Orlando’s variety of lunch specials would be under $ 16 total for two people and available quickly or even Wasabi sit down service for ~$ 25. I would recommend a larger side salad(+ or additional options) to help justify the price. Good luck, I hope some of these minor issues are resolved in the near future! PROS — Bagels and sandwiches are excellent — Nicely decorated interior — Free Wi-Fi CONS — Expensive Lunch with tiny side of coleslaw — Single cash register slows order process — Slow turn around on food + drink delivery — Limited parking

I’ve been to Blondies three times and have had solid experiences each time. The bagels are excellent and I agree with other reviewers — far better than Charleston Bagel on Long Point. The chai tea latte was just okay in my opinion so I’ll probably stick to a hot tea next time. Where Blondies is frustrating is the service. Far too slow for a bagel shop. My guess is they only have one register because they wouldn’t be able to keep up with orders coming in double as fast. This results in a long time to order which ultimately means they lose people. I’ve left twice without ordering because it just took too long. Once you order, a bagel and cream cheese comes relatively fast but a breakfast sandwich has taken a long time both times I’ve ordered. I wanted to chalk this up to being new and having growing pains but now I just fear the kitchen can’t keep up with the demand? I also think their weekend hours aren’t long enough. They did move their opening from 8a to 7a which was a smart move but they close at noon. Why completely miss the lunch crowd? All this to say… I’ll be back because the bagels are that good but I’ll know not to bother when I don’t have 10 – 15 minutes to wait.

Great to see Blondies open on DI. The space is well laid out and the people very friendly. Breakfast sandwiches are good, coffee is very good, and even had a tasty lunch here as well. One issue is that the line here, even if only a few people, moves very slowly. I think this might have less to do with the people working at Blondies and more to do with the fact that everyone in line is carrying on conversation or being bratty about their orders. At any rate, I highly recommend it!

I am so happy blondie’s opened. This has been a hole in the Daniel Island market for quite some time. Quick breakfast and coffee. It’s decorated very nice inside. Beautiful décor, clean and the staff is very friendly. It’s also very reasonably priced. The line was long and there was a bit of a wait but well worth it especially when everyone on the island has been waiting for this to open. There was only one register that I saw. Not sure if open ring another one would help or make it chaotic. Either way, I will definitely be coming back again

Breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the coffee was great. Chocolate milk for the little one while we waited. Line was a little long as a second register is needed, but once your order is taken, the service is very fast. Extremely pleased with the overall service and the food was awesome. Will go many more times to get breakfast to go, for the family.

I have been waiting a long time for a quick breakfast /coffee place to open on Daniel Island. I went to Blondies Bagels & Café which opened this week. Blondies has hit a home run, even knocked it out of the park. Their renovations of the old Resturant are first class. The place is open and well lit. Looks great !!! All the employees are in attractive uniforms and are well trained with each having a specific job to expedite your order. I had a breakfast bagel sandwich with coffee, very good and reasonably priced. The only suggestion or improvement I would make is add another register /order station as the line was out the door.
