This review is mainly in regards to their pharmacy department. In the past 2 months I have had 2 different issues getting my refills. Last Wednesday I called them about why they’re telling me there’s an issue with my insurance. I tell the guy I have 6 pills left, he tells me they will contact my insurance again in 3 days… I’m already thinking they won’t because in 3 days that’d be Saturday, and why can’t they at least contact them now or the following day? So I’m patient and wait to hear from Walgreen’s on Monday. nothing, and their customer service number about my script says there’s still an insurance issue. So I take matters into my own hands(since Walgreens acts like they’re taking care of doing all this stuff for me about everything when they never are) and call my insurances’ 800 number and in no time at all my insurance has solved the issue and found the problem to actually be on Walgreen’s side. Walgreen’s apparently put in their system that they gave me 28 packs of pills a month ago, when they actually gave me 1 pack of 28 pills, and some how Walgreen’s was able to override this in their system so, my healthcare provider gives me the number to the Walgreen’s help desk to pass on to Walgreen’s to correct this issue as I am now down to my last pill. So my question is how was I able to solve my insurance issue before the people at Walgreens, and how come they didn’t check their own system for any possible problems. Whose insurance is actually good enough to even give them 28 packs of pills in a month?

Walgreens is fantastic. Sebastian the pharmacist is incredible! Very patient and helpful with mixing meds and vitamins. Gives the short, sweet and to the point version. Thank you Sebastian! The Gindy’s

HOLYHECK! Why didn’t someone tell me that Walgreens has lost its mind? Just spoke to a male pharmacist who told me that they don’t reveal whether or not they have controlled substances in stock(this, *NOTFOR* a pain med). He THEN proceeded to tell me that Martin’s, CVS and Rite Aid were«lying to you, ma’am» when they said that they were out of stock.(Do you hear that, Martin’s, CVS, and Rite Aid??! You going to take that?) What? A simple ‘Duck, Duck, Go’ search reveals some big fiasco regarding Walgreens & pain pills in FL(in 2011) and some pretty ticked off people. Whatever. After speaking with that chap in Charles Town, I wouldn’t even buy toilet paper there.
