My wife was visiting some friends near Williamsburg and stayed for three nights at this charming B&B. The old farmhouse was lovely and peaceful, set among sprawling fields and woods. The innkeepers, Tanya and Mike, were warmly welcoming in a way that made the B&B feel like home. Or, like home, plus extra-special treatment: my wife loved having hot coffee show up on a pretty tray outside her door in the morning, at the time of her choosing!(she’s telling me I should take notes) Best of all, the food was an incredible treat. My wife has several food sensitivities, including gluten intolerance, and is wary of dining out in general. Tanya not only accommodated all her dietary needs, but blew her away with the variety and creativity of the delicious breakfasts! Egg/potato frittatas, cheese grits with country ham, and(gluten-free) double chocolate scones. Anyway, she loved her time there, and is planning to go back the next time she’s in the area.

We drove route 5 from Richmond and were transported back to the 1800s. The cottage and farm were a great getaway. Breakfast was amazing, Tanya and Mike such good people, and the farm was so fun.

Dealing with this lady was a terrible experience after going through tragedy in my life. She was not understanding and no matter how many times I apologized, she didn’t seem to care. I’m sure it’s a great place to stay but I’m not sure dealing with this lady is worth it.

This is a truly great B&B…a wonderful value! The hosts are so kind and gracious and made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were so good and hearty we didn’t need lunch until 2 or 3 pm. Our room was immaculately clean and very spacious. We would definitely stay again if a trip brings us back to this area.
