Been going to la fogatas for years. Pretty good Mexican food, usually fast service, and not expensive.

Great Mexican food in a fantastic small town. The service is always very friendly and fast. The chips and salsa are very good; nice kick to the salsa.
The tacos are very good, but I usually get a taco salad, which is even better.
Really, the whole menu is good.

Solid Mexican food in Chapin. Great prices, tasty food, and friendly staff. We ate here with a large group and the staff accommodated us with a smile. This is how Mexican food establishments should be — good food, fair prices, and a friendly atmosphere. If you are in the Chapin area and are hungry, stop by La Fogata and enjoy this restaurant.

For Chapin it is one of the best. Three sizes of draft beer, and the lunch price is better than any around. Food is good and fast. I go every week!

Margaritas and chips/​salsa good. We were a party of 9 on the patio and the service was horrible. They wanted to take our drink orders but we had no menus (a few of us wanted mixed drinks so we needed a menu), we had to ask for them. Drinks came eventually, and we had to ask repeatedly for napkins. Eventually one of our party went inside to get them herself. After a long wait for our orders, food was tepid and flavorless. Will not go again.

The food was good, the service was acceptable. The restaurant could use a little updating, but I did like the Clemson and Gamecock paintings on the wall.
We are from Texas and have not had much good Tex-​Mex here, but this restaurant met our expectations!
We are going to try the West Columbia one closer to our house next.

Typical Mexican food, fast service and great lunch meals. Salsa is good, chips are a bit oily. I’m new to the area and some locals are weary of the place because of thing they have seen but I have not seen anything strange yet.
