NPR is the best thing to happen to the radio in quite some time. This is the local NPR station, and they provide some of the best and most insightful radio you’ll find on the air in the RTP radio waves.
Now, you probably know all about NPR’s news radio, which provides some of the most insight political analysis that there is (this ain’t no Fox News!), but a lot of people don’t realize NPR provides some great music oriented programs. «Sound Opinion» (Saturdays, 4pm) is mandatory listening for any fan of music, new or old, and I’ve found tons of great artists just by listening to it.
It’s certainly not big news that most radio sucks, so it’s refreshing that there’s still a station you can turn to too check out new artists and music. NPR is a bastion of new and original programs that you can sink your teeth into.
