I’ve always hated our family’s weekly«big shopping.» Sure it’s nice to pick out a bottle of wine and some fresh fish at Whole Foods, for the night’s dinner, but shopping for staples(juice boxes, potato chips, oil, milk, cereal, canned tuna, detergent, paper towels on and on) is a massive pain, and one that’s hard to find the time for in-between work, getting the kids where they need to go, doing laundry, cleaning up, yardwork and so on. As a result I tend to rush through it and try to limit myself to one store — which means if I go to Whole Foods I end up paying too much for run-of-the-mill packaged items, and if I go to Food Lion, I end up buying meats and produce that are decidedly less tasty than what I’d find at Whole Foods or Weaver Street. So when I heard about We Grocery Shop, it didn’t take me any time to decide to try it. And it’s worked out just as I hoped it wood. This is a well-run, reliable, friendly, business, and very very reasonable considering not only the time I save, but also that I can get the groceries I want from the stores I want to get them rather than defaulting each week to one store. I still save the fun little shoppings(picking a good cheese and a nice Belgian ale) for myself, and savor that time all-the-more, knowing that I’m not going to end up rushing to find the right variant of cheerios.
