First, this is a very nice park. Chapel Hill did a very nice job here. First, going here on a Saturday morning in the fall. Prepare yourself for soccer soccer and more soccer. Parking is scarce Second, the signage is terrible. I believe there are 2 entrances to the park, the north and the south. The south entrance has very limited parking, and they do ticket if you park illegally while the north entrance has plenty of parking and easy access to basketball courts, play area, etc… CH how about a sign saying what’s at each entrance. The kids play area is extremely nice. There are several big toys, swings, hill to run up for the kids… and completely fenced in. Bathrooms are right next to the play area and there is an annex in the play area for some shade or picnicking. Nice park!!!

I’ve been to this park a few times and it looks awesome. It has great facilities. I was wondering if anyone knows when(or if) there are pick up inline hockey games. Thanks

I’m reviewing the dog park portion of the park, which is wonderful. The park is split into two sections, medium-large and small dogs. In each section there are benches, grass sections, tress and mainly sandish material in the big park. The owners are responsible and very nice. My dog had a great time there, they even have their own water source for the pups to cool off. It’s kind of far from where I live so I won’t get to go as often as I like but I wish I could! Brought home a tired, workout and happy dog. Love this place!

Chapel Hill’s newest and second-largest community park has lots to offer: 72 acres of soccer fields, walking trails, a Frisbee golf course, picnic facilities, playgrounds, basketball courts, an inline hockey court, and more. What brought me here today, though, was the dog park. There are actually two dog parks here: one very large one for the«big dogs,» and another, smaller one for the dogs that think they’re big. These are some of the nicest dog parks I’ve seen. They have an assortment of toys lying around for the borrowing, waste bags, water fountains, lots of benches to sit in the sun and the shade, woods AND dirt to dig in, etc. The people are friendly without being obnoxious and they’re very good about picking up after their animals. Elsewhere in the park, the kids run around playing on the fields and the playground, the Frisbee golfers get lost in the woods, and people just come and hang out with their neighbors. Very nice. Our tax dollars were well spent on this one, people.
