Just had the best customer experience here. Mark was very friendly and upbeat while taking my order. The food came very fast and of course the was great like always.

When did Panera Bread become the most expensive restaurant in the world? The ‘you pick two’ used to be a deal, now I need to take out a mortgage to cover the cost.

Ample parking. Good customer service. Rapid Pickup works without a hitch. Minus one star because they tend to run out of common items, like flatbread and baguettes, later in the evening.

Oh lordy. Hummus is a spread, NOT a condiment. And for vegetarians, it functions as a PROTEINSOURCE, much like the turkey slices in a turkey sandwich. The point of ordering the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, which theoretically includes hummus, is for it to be filling, with the hummus generously spread on. Instead, I got a measly lettuce sandwich with no flavor, or protein. The hummus was spread onto the sandwich in the thinnest layer, as if it were a light glaze of mayonnaise or mustard – there was no 3-dimensionality to it whatsoever, and I could see the spongy pores of the bread right through it! Get with the times, Panera. It’s obvious that someone who has no clue whatsoever about hummus and vegetarian eating habits prepared the sandwich and was never properly trained on portions. Thumbs down.

Okay — not my proudest moment in a Panera. After a night of binging on craft beer this was my last stop. All aboard the Panera express. We were the last customers of the night. The staff was super cool, laid back and joked around with me. Broccoli cheddar soup with baguette for my wife on a cold rainy night. Because I was last, they gave me almost an entire baguette for the soup. I told them I liked chicken and to surprise me. I ended up with a Napa Almond Chicken Salad sandwich — loaded with chicken, grapes and almonds on sourdough bread. Super tasty! I made it through half before hitting the hay(no I didn’t pass out in Panera!). Even refrigerator cold the next day, the other half was still delicious!

This location is near college campus, which means that most customers are college students. You cannot make the poor college student pay $ 400 parking fee + taxi. Panera Bread is franchise for ordinary people, not for rich people. Please think about the damage that your store can cause to Panera Bread name.

Panera, please end your contract with George’s towing. I ate at panera then saw a friend across the street. I came back 8 minutes later And my car had the boot on it. Why did it cost $ 160 when my car wasn’t even towed? And less than 10 minutes? George was incredibly rude and unprofessional as well. I am making sure never to come back to this panera just because of this. Disgusting.

I love the food at Panera but the Internet wifi service is terrible. In fact, I make certain to never bring my laptop to this location. The last time I visited this location to pick up a sandwich one of the workers actually joked with a customer about how slow the Internet was. If you are hoping to grab a coffee or a bite to eat and get some work done on the Internet I would definitely go somewhere else. Another concern I have with Panera is the sandwich is not always made to my liking. Almost half the time I order the turkey on country with just spicy mustard and mayo it ends up not having any spicy mustard or mayo. It is simply turkey between two slices of bread. I even reiterate that I was the spicy mustard and mayo yet it often still does not happen.

Alright, bumping up the rating. I’m kind of astonished at how genuinely friendly the staff is here. Every time I come here for lunch, I’m greeted by multiple smiles and people who seem to truly enjoy their jobs. It’s pretty refreshing. They’re doing a great job of picking and training their staff. The food is pretty good and with Panera now carrying organic chicken and turkey I’m prone to eat here more often. School is back in session, so I’m sure I’ll be annoyed by the droves of students who will soon turn this place into their study hall for the semester. But aside from that, no complaints.

I purchased a sandwich at the Mediterranean Deli, came back within 20 to 25 minutes for dessert at Panera and my car was gone! Panera had it TOWED – at 8:30 p.m. on a Tuesday night with five cars in the lot. The employee behind the shop could have asked me why I was parked there or if I intended to purchase anything at Panera, or tell me to park elsewhere, but he said nothing. I told the staff at Panera that I was a customer and they gave me lip. I reported the incident to the police who said that I should report Panera and the towing company to City Hall; the kind officers say there are numerous complaints about the owners and that the towing company is corrupt. When I phoned about my car George threatened me repeatedly. I paid George’s Towing $ 180 to get my car back. I just heard from a friend that he too was towed and that he witnessed George tow a car whose owner was in a wheelchair. The friend was charged $ 100, so this guy just makes up a price – apparently $ 80 more for women. The check engine light was on the minute I started the car so the towing damaged my car. The lot is on an unlit creepy area of a deserted road behind a used tire lot – I was afraid to go back there.

This review is primarily aimed at the quality and value of their catering, not the staff. My school ordered breakfast food from Panera, and for vegans like me they were sure to order the fruit bowl. It was a decent sized bowl, but full of cheap, bland fruit that defines most fruit bowls. You can guess it– honeydew, grapes, melon, and pineapple. That’s it. It cost $ 55, which is insane. My guess is this fruit was not organic and was some of the cheapest they could find. I assume the only people who pay for this are the ones, like my school, who don’t bear the cost of it, and just charge it to some poor schmuck(like students). And of course, none of their other breakfast items(bagels and pastries) are vegan, so the only vegan option I’m aware of is the $ 55 bowl of cheap fruit. And their«green tea» is still loaded with sugar.

Here goes my Pros & Cons Pros: 1.parking lot 2. friendly staff 3. good food 4. view 5.nice outdoor seating Cons: 1.soups on certain days(Seems I never visit the day they have my fav) 2. STUDENTS, STUDENTS, STUDENTS!!!(I have nothing against those obtaining higer education, but they will buy a coffee and take up two tables with textbooks and laptops for hours) 3.Always out of something(especially desserts, pastries) 4.parking(I know it’s listed as my PRO, because it’s hard to find a place in Chapel Hill with it’s own parking lot so this is a good thing, but it seems to always be full!

Stopped in here today for a quick lunch with my toddler because I was in the area. I would have been better off going to the McDonald’s down the street. And I HATE McDonald’s. My sandwich was about six inches worth of bread and a quarter inch of filling, consisting of two somewhat slimy pieces of low quality turkey and a LOAD of super thick red onions. I love red onions but even this was overkill. Most sandwich places tend to put too much dressing on a sandwich, but considering the almost obscene amount of bread, the quarter teaspoon of who knows what was not enough to make it edible. I ordered my toddler a grilled cheese and substituted wheat bread since all kids menu items come on white bread. The«cheese» was that artificial Kraft garbage that no human should eat, let alone a small child. i chose this place because I was under some impression that they used higher quality ingredients, which was not the case. I’m giving two stars instead of one because I had a bite of someone’s cookie from Panera once that was decent. So maybe just go for the baked goods. I will never spend my money at this overrated place again. I’d much rather take the time to support a local business next time.

I go to Panera because I like the menu options, but I consider it a splurge. I leave satisfied every time. The service though is often miserable… most of the employees would rather be somewhere else, and are rude to the customer as a result. I once went in 5 minutes before closing time, waited in line for 5 minutes(until closing offically) while people looked at me and then proceeded to ignore me and continue personal conversations and do clean up. I was eventually told that it was closed, as a Another time, mid-afternoon, I waited in line while, again, people looked at me, made eye contact, and didn’t help me. I eventually had to ask the girl sweeping the floor if anyone was available to help me, and then someone reluctantly appeared to take my money. Perhaps employees here are treated poorly, because I’ve eaten here a dozen times and the service is consistently poor. Yeah, Panera has parking. Great, until you go when it’s completely filled, which is often, and you have to attempt to parallel park against a stone wall. Like I said, I think Panera’s food is, conceptually, spot on and is consistently prepared to be delicious. With that being said, I assuming all Paneras have equally yummy food, the rude service at this location is enough to keep me away.

This Panera Bread is a gem in Chapel Hill because they are one of the few restaurants on Franklin Street to have parking. That alone is enough to bring my visit to this store. However, this Panera is also very clean and prepares the food extremely quickly — even faster than the Panera on 15 – 501. The workers are always very friendly, and many times they have offered to take my dishes for me. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a covered patio that has heaters in the winter. The variety in seating options could make even the pickiest person happy. As for the food, it is the same as any Panera bread — aka great. What sets this Panera is their parking, seating, and service.

I highly doubt you can ever go wrong with Panera. Having visited this location frequently, I decided to go for a little breakfast. This location is always busy, but the line goes smoothly and you can always find a place to sit.

I have to say that Panera has grown on me within the past few months. I’m not a huge soup fan, so a place that, in my mind, specializes mainly in the winter-time specialty doesn’t exactly get my taste buds revved up. But then I discovered their sandwiches… It started with the basic turkey sandwich. When you combine fresh baked bread, crisp and juicy produce with thick slices of turkey, I challenge you not to love the end result. The Mediterranean Veggie sandwich on Tomato Basil bread and the hot, pressed Mozzarella and Tomato sandwich are also solid choices. The You-Pick-Two is definitely the way to go at Panera. A cup of soup, half a sandwich and choice of side(I go with an apple) makes for a perfectly filling lunch without being too heavy. Which brings me to the other reason I’ve become a Panera fan. They’re one of the first restaurants to put their calorie information for each item on the menu, prominently displayed for all to see. For someone who wants to be conscious of their calorie consumption at all times, especially when eating out at a restaurant, this is an irreplaceable feature. While I had my initial reservations, Panera is slowly becoming one of my favorite chain restaurant options, especially as a place to get some fairly nutritious food fast.

Panera is decently located, especially considering one can pick up UNC Wireless here, which is a major plus if you don’t want to go into campus, but want to work for a bit without having to go through a long process to get to all of the e-journals. On top of this, it has its own parking(unique for Franklin Street, especially after 140 West was ripped apart so yuppies could have homes), and the food is decent(it’s Panera). So those are all good things.

It’s downtown chapel hill and it has its own parking lot, which is a plus. Granted it’s usually full. This is a busy extension of the Panera chain and they do a great job of dealing with the volume that comes through its doors. The food isn’t out of the ordinary, and has the same kind of flavor you’d expect from a middle tier sandwich place. Like McAllister, or any of the other chains of sandwich joints that fall below a full blown sit-down restaurant and above a subway or jimmy johns. The sierra Turkey sandwich was great, and being able to combo half a sandwich with a soup or something else for around 8 dollars makes it okay but not cheap. Personally I’d much rather walk a few more feet to Sandwich(another restaurant in the same price point) because I like their creative unique flavored sandwich. I usually end up going here as a compromise because most of my co-workers don’t share enthusiasm as I for a sandwich that has mint and prosciutto, and because they like that there is a bread bowl at Panera.
