Forever Young Day Spa

I live in So Village and just recently moved to CH, so I decided to check the place out, the reviews seemed ok. I had (had being the key word) naturally curly hair that went down to my shoulders. I asked for a trim. When I was done, my hair was at the bottom of my ears. My neck is normal length. I went to work the next day, with noticeably shorter hair and absolutely no one commented on my hair. I could see them look at it and look away. The women who cut my hair was entertaining to talk to, but her cut was poor. It was uneven. I almost immediately made an appt at Moshi Moshi to fix it, but couldn’t get in for 1.5 weeks. During that time I had a professional conference and was nothing short of embarrassed — this time it was due to my hair. :) Moshi Moshi did a good job, but my hair is still too short, must shorter than I like. I will not go back, the quality was bad and she did not listen to me in any way.

I needed a last minute gel manicure and regular pedicure appointment and they got me in and did a perfect job! Only downside was the lack of selection for the gel polish. The gel polish stayed for about 2 weeks with no lifting and the pedi much longer. Yay!

My wife was (past tense) a long time customer. Needed some leeway on their gift certificate expiration policy. No dice. And they don’t care that they lost a long time customer and advocate. Buyer beware.

This place is one of the best-​kept secrets in Chapel Hill…
I made my first appointment at Forever Young the week of my wedding in October for an array of pampering services. My 60-​min massage was the most spa-​like experience I’ve had outside of expensive resort spas! My waxes (Brazilian and eyebrow) were professionally and excellently done. My shellac French manicure was perfect, and they even squeezed me in for a «quickie» pedicure I hadn’t made an appointment for. All three ladies who took care of me that day were absolute gems. And I was in total disbelief when I got the final price tag for my morning at the spa — $ 200 for all that!
I was also thrilled to find my stylist Sheila, who had moved on from Mina’s Studio, and I’m so glad I’ll be able to see her regularly for my cut & colors!
Even the receptionist is a total sweetheart: when I called to schedule an appointment with Sheila after the wedding, she recognized me and excitedly asked if I’d be bringing wedding pictures to show everyone. That’s right — she recognized me over the phone after just one trip!
The whole atmosphere is fun and relaxing, and everyone who works there seems to genuinely enjoy working together. I really look forward to getting my hair done there, not only because I get to see Sheila, but because everyone there is so welcoming.

Our family has been using Forever Young Day Spa for hair cuts and special event hair styling for years and we are very satisfied. This includes parents and girls in late teens and early 20s. I’ve been using Mike and he is a real expert on my shorter hair. The girls have longer hair and really love their cuts. Most recently, my daughter had her senior prom and had Jennifer style her hair. She looked fabulous. She also had a manicure and pedicure. When my older daughter gets married in the fall, she will go to Jennifer to get her hair styled before her wedding.

This is a full service salon & spa that offers hair coloring, cut & style, various types of perms (spiral, straight or texture) and relaxers. They also offer manicures, pedicures (a choice of spa or regular manicure, spa or hot stone pedicure), waxing, an array of facial treatments (firming micro peel facial, repechage four-​layer facial or hot stone facial to name a few). Let’s not forget their «forever young sessions» which entails being pampered all day long, for example the «My Lady’s Day», «The Princess Day» or for the gentlemen «Gentlemen’s Day». This a beautiful relaxing space to have any and all of your aesthetic needs seen to in the most professional manner.
