Very disappointed! After rescheduling my appointment and giving me a quote by phone, the physician arrives 10 minutes late(yes, my time is important too) and I find out that it was a misquote. This is the 2nd time that I had a miscommunication with little in the way of customer service. Will not go back.

Like others, I purchased a Groupon deal, as did some family members and we have been thoroughly unimpressed from day one. I was confident because I was friends with the previous owners(see reviews from 3+ years ago that are positive) and they were very respectable and honorable people so assumed(wrongly) that the standards would still be high. The Groupon my daughter purchased was not honored because they changed their minds and decided to only allow a max of one area of the body rather than the two they advertised. They informed her that she could get a refund from Groupon for the second area. Groupon refused to refund her until 8 email exchanges later and waiting for the spa owners to contact Groupon and discuss it, then she was given a Groupon CREDIT, not a refund. The first few months of my treatment, the front desk was managed by the woman who was also doing the laser removal because the owners didn’t want to hire anyone to answer the phones and check people in. When they did get someone to work the front desk, she never called to remind me of appts which wasn’t something I relied on, but is standard. The biggest issue has been if I ever needed to reach someone to reschedule or see if the snow was going to postpone my appt, I had to leave a minimum of three voicemails(they never answer the phone when you call — even on Wed-Fri when they are there) before someone would call me back. No one ever confirmed if the weather would impact my appt, so I didn’t go and then had to call four times over three weeks to finally reschedule. This happened at least five times where I had to call in, but would do all I could to avoid the need to call in since I knew it was a problem. Most recently I used the restroom and noticed that almost every washcloth for customers to use was totally threadbaren to the point that it seemed to be a joke. My last appt was cancelled upon arrival because the laser was broken but no one called me before I made the trip out there — though it had been broken for at least a few days at that point. I was told the part had been ordered and I would receive a call within two to three weeks to reschedule. About two months later, after not hearing from anyone, I called twice over a two week period and no one called me back. The third call I made was finally to the owner(a different location) and left a message to call me back and less than five minutes later the aesthetician who I see called me(apparently the front desk person was too embarrassed to call after ignoring me yet again) and let me know that they in fact did not order the part at all and are instead insisting on having the staff there use the laser that is only meant for facial hair, so is extremely painful to use on other body parts. How cheap, tacky and terrible! This place is poorly run and I always left there feeling sorry for the qualified, kind, gracious, competent, likely underpaid aestheticians. The owners never called me to hear my concerns but just passed me off to try to reschedule me to come in to have them use the wrong laser on my legs! I would stay far away from this place. Also, not one of us who had this treatment in full has been happy with the results. I had laser hair removal at Sona in Raleigh about 10 years ago on three body parts and was very happy with the results. This place is cheap as can be — down to not wanting to replace raggedy washcloths that couldn’t cost them more than $ 30 for a nice set. No idea why they think they are going to survive when they have such poor service. Groupon deals are meant to get people in there and impress them so they’ll want to come back and pay regular price. Not wise at all.

I’ve gone to the site in Sanford for laser hair removal. This place is terrible, I saw absolutely no results. One of the appointments I waited and hour and a half to see the technician, I was told she wasn’t in that day(then why would you schedule my appt?) and that I would have to wait for the doctor to get free to do my laser removal. 1.5 hrs later the tech walks in saying she has been here. And apologizes for my long wait. My last appt after waiting 30 minutes the machine doesn’t work and they send me home without my service. I live over and hour away from this office. This place is terrible and I did not even see results. Money wasted.

I’ve been going here for botox, and I am very pleased. I see the MD only – I noticed some bad reviews about the«girls» and I have no idea about them as I see the MD. Excellent results, very professional and friendly, right on time – I never have to wait. I would recommend Aria for THIS procedure(botox) administered by the MD.

Usually I am a little sketchy about Living Social deals that have low stars, but figured what did I have to lose besides some awful spider veins that appeared with my pregnancy? Let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier. The veins disappeared with the first treatment and I am amazed they haven’t come back. Leslie was wonderful and so kind. It did hurt like a mother, although Leslie let me know it was going to sting. Everyone has different skin tones and laser might not be for you, but do your research first and come asking questions. I am extremely pleased with my LS purchase and highly recommend Leslie at Aria. Thank you!

I purchased a livingsocial deal to have a burst blood vessel zapped and was also a victim of Mariah. After looking at the mark on my face, I was instantly told that it probably wouldn’t go away, or might not go away, though I had a similar procedure done years ago by my dermatologist who was able to zap it in one visit(that one I’d had since childhood). Mariah referred to the manual(which made me nervous) and said she would put it on the lowest setting(WHY??? I want it gone) and then I would come back in six weeks – NOT. No smile, lousy customer service and an inexperienced defensive practitioner. UGH!!! Why hire someone who tells patients their service likely won’t work? The service is expensive, even with the livingsocial deal, so I will now try and get my money back.

Do not patronize this business. I purchased a package session for laser hair removal from Aria. Three sessions later I still had not seen any difference in the hair growth/elimination. I eventually figured out that the hair I was trying to have removed was red in color and or nonresponsive to laser hair removal. Only electrolysis has been effective for hair removal in this area. I returned to Aria to use the remainder of my package for hair removal on another area of my body(which has been responsive to laser hair removal). When I returned, the owner told me that laser hair removal is only effective after four sessions(a blatant lie) and that I needed to continue the treatment I had been doing. I finally managed to convince the owner to allow me to have treatment on the other area of my body. The technician did a very small portion of this area. For the amount of money I paid, the results(none) that I have seen, and the lack of customer service I have experienced from this place, it seems Aria is only interested in making $ and not in pleasing its customers. Major thumbs down.

My personal experience only — I purchased two groupons for Aria with the intent of using them for the laser tattoo removal. I went for one session and had absolutely awful results. Despite the fact that the person who did it was super sweet, she didn’t seem knowledgeable and appeared very tentative on what she had done. Needless to say 16 weeks post 1 session I will not be going back — chalk groupon #2 up to a loss. I am left with a spot that is still pigmented exactly the way it started off but now has a center that is red(not black like it was) which is a result of scar tissue. I have been assured by the staff that this is totally normal. Maybe it is, but I highly doubt it. I did my research on the laser they are using and it’s supposed to be super effective. I did not have the expectation that it my tattoo would be removed in one session, heck I didn’t even think it would be removed in 6(it’s about 1 inch by 1 inch all black). I did however have the expectation that it would not be made worse. I’ve communicated with the staff and they express their apologies for my experience but stand behind their service. So do your homework and be sure you know what you are getting yourself into. I did keep a photo journal of my experience so if you are considering removal feel free to contact me and I can send you pics to illustrate my experience.
