Surprisingly good! A bit skeptical when I walked in and saw a buffet with pizza and fried chicken and fixings! But the pizza was good, the chicken was good, the potatoes were real. Gravy was average but overall, good meal. Oh, the dessert cinnamon sticks were awesome!

We stayed in Chanute 5 days while our RV was being worked on. We ate here 2 times. They have a small buffet for around $ 7.00. You can’t eat at a fast food place for that. The buffet usually has fried chicken, which is really good, different types of pizzas, mashed potatoes, veggies a salad bar etc. just a great value for the price. Service was great and the store was clean. We would definitely go back.

Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, old-timey town, and decent buffet. I would probably recommend this restaurant. Its not a standout by any means but it’s great for passing through.

Definite fan of Opie’s! Great consistent food. Great folks eat there every single day. Open late. Friendly staff. I’ve eaten there several times.

Overall, a pretty mediocre joint. Don’t get me wrong — the prices are reasonable and the food isn’t bad(just not particularly imaginative or exceptional). The buffet features the standard hot rolls, mashed taters, and fried chicken. The pizza is relatively fresh and considered the norm for Midwest eateries. If you’re looking for a more exotic pizza or imaginative combinations, look elsewhere. Service is generally fast and friendly and the place is decently clean.
