I was referred here by my nurse friend who uses Dr Sudah and says she’s great. Insurance changed beginning of the year so having to find a dr in network and she is. Well its Feb 9 and my son is sick so i call to set up new patient appointment. They do not take sick patients as new patients! So they refer me to urgent care. The woman Beatrice who answered the phone was so rude and loud and aggressive and uncaring! Talked to me as if i was an idiot. She obviously hates her job, which isn’t exactly what you expect from a health care worker! I almost hung up, but again referred by a friend i scheduled an appointment for February 23!!! Almost two weeks to wait to see the doctor! Crazy!!! So far this experience is not a good one. Ill update later after i see the doctor in two weeks!

I came for a visit for my new born and was given an appointment for 3:15 pm. It took them 45 minutes to call us in and after that we kept waiting for the doctor for an hour. No importance to people’s time nor the schedule of the appointment…

========================= From Patient to a Customer ========================= Go at this place at your own risk. Lot of people warned us, but few of our friends also recommended this pediatric. So we went and did an intro meeting with the Dr. She was very understanding, confident, made big promises of same day appointments for sick child, seemed to care. Everything that you would like to see in your childs Dr. So we registered. First year was great because our child did not get sick and all Dr. had to do was regular visits. Easy. In 2nd year our baby started falling sick and thats when we saw the true side of this practice. We would call the nurseline for 4 – 5 days to make sure we do everything that we can before going to the Dr(based on the recommendation of their nurses). Then we would ask the Dr. to give us an appt as our child was very sick with 104 fever for a couple of days and vomiting for 3 days. We would not get any appointments for 4 days !!! On every instance they kept telling us to go to urgent care. The nurses were totally rude. This happened 3 times on different occasions and we ended up going to urgent care at 1 @ night and to the emergency room next day. Apparently a lot of our other friends also started having the same experiences. We are very understanding parents, but what Dr. Sudha and her staff did to us and a few of our other friends was pretty bad. Their working model is grab first time parents and eat their first year money after that it is a don’t care. Pretty much how rental companies operate. This is how the innocent patients become«customers» like in any other business @ Gateway pediatrics. There are many other good pediatricians available who really care and give you same day sick child appointments. Save yourself and your child some pain.

Let me first say I love Dr Sudah! Love her! She is the bee knees of pediatricians. Beautiful offices as well, oh! And her lactation specialist Paulie is a rock star! On the other side of the coin, I have seen two NPs who are not warm, not caring, not friendly, in truth I’m not sure why these two specific women are care givers. At least after you jab my son in the thigh with a flu shot ask if I have any questions and please do not treat me like I am an idiot when I do corner you to get answers to my questions. I know these women are busy and I’m sure they see a billion overly concerned parents a day but it concerns what’s is most precious to us(our children) so please have the decency to pretend like these aren’t stupid(to you) questions. Again, I love the Dr. and would recommend her to anyone with kids but I just don’t get the warm fuzzy feeling from some of her staff.

Dr. Sudha has been my toddler’s doc since birth and I can’t say enough about Dr. Sudha and her staff. Everyone is great and they remember all the children by first name that come in! Not only that, Dr. Sudha understands the human aspect of patient care because she’s so affectionate with her patients, something that I truly love and appreciate! In addition, most pediatric offices are decorated with child characters or animals, but Dr. Sudha’s nicely decorated office has pictures of real children with disabilities on her wall. What a great way to display the diverse world of children that surround us! I highly recommend her practice to new or existing parents looking for a pediatric office!

There really aren’t enough stars for Dr. Sudha and I can’t believe there were no reviews raving about her services. She just got a brand new practice so the address isn’t accurate. The phone number didn’t change. But she’s always made it a point to see us and not«passed us off to the NP». If your pediatrician doesn’t feel like a member of your family … you may want to give Gateway Pediatrics a call.
