St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church

The Architecture and meditation garden outside are superb. Someone dropped the ball inside it is an eclectic combinatiin of modern blah! What a shame!
It’s kind of like fashion somethings just don’t go together.
It appears to be an active congregation and does maintain an on-​site food bank and frequently request contributions to help the poor. The priest’s message was pleasant but not captivating.
A good place to drop in and attend a Sunday service

We moved here from California and finding a church was very important to us. I can’t tell you how this church has made me and my family feel like we are home. Everyone is so friendly and what they are doing for the community is wonderful.

This was the church I went to because it was the closest one to me while I was living in Chandler. It somehow felt strange to me at first because I was used to the old churches in Mexico. After going a few times, getting involved, and meeting the community, I knew this was «home.» Now I live almost ½ hour away, and I still go to St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
I especially love the garden– peaceful, refreshing, and welcoming.

I’m not Catholic, but I attended today with my mom and sister who are interested in the church.
I really like this community. Very warm and welcoming, and very diverse. Also it’s come as you are, which I think churches should be. But people were dressed as casual as shorts to dressed up in suits.
The parish itself is beautiful. I loved the music! The band and choir sounded so professional! It was very spiritually uplifting.
There is a prayer garden that has beautiful water features and a fountain. It was nice to sit there and take in the serenity.

I went on Saturday night and there was a woman singer who sang with a band off and on for an hour and a half. She is not very good, in fact she was irritating, and it ended up being a bad experience trying to live through her singing. I was looking forward to traditional music or a choir. I wanted to hear something that actually sounded like it came from a church. Not some garage band of nerds.
I am not Catholic, just curious. So when I was there I was also a little nervous and had a slight headache. When everyone turned to to shake hands and say a certain phrase/​blessing to each other I might have looked awkward or nervous, unfortunately no one except the couple in front of me were all that friendly. A large older man who was too far from me on the same aisle to reach just sort of waved at me in a nasty way like «NAHHHH» !, which was highly weird and not exactly friendly. I turned to the woman behind me and caught sight of a guy in the aisle behind her who for some reason was giving me a basically dirty look. And she only half-​shook my hand like telling me «whatever». OK, so the people at least in my section were there at church and yet having trouble just being nice ?
The guest Priest { Coleman was away on some vacation or travels }, actually told the assembly that you can’t get married in a Catholic church unless you are going to have children. Really? There are so many things I like about Catholicism but that is just ridiculous— it’s none of their business.

Great church, very modern. This is our go to Catholic Church when we go to the Chandler area for vacation.

Took the day off from work and treated myself to an hour of grounding, yet spiritually-​lifting mass at Chandler’s beautiful (both interior and exterior) St. Andrew the Apostle. Father Coleman was once again a delight to hear, and the adult choir and accompanying band of talented musicians always bring joy to my soul– I am ever enthralled watching the pianist perform!

The building is amazing and no matter where you sit, you’ll have a good view. The community is very organized and everything runs smooth. I just miss a bit the popular songs as their choir (sounds nice) covers your effort to sing.
Father Joey has to be my favorite, always real and to the point. A good place to attend mass.
