Planned Parenthood Arizona Chandler Health Center

I called to make an appointment for a prescription of birth control. I am a grown women and I have been on the pill for a couple years now. I recently moved here and have to change doctors in the mean time I needed a new prescription. So I thought why not go here to get some while I’m waiting on a my new doctor. The lady on the phone was so rude and had no costumer service what so ever. She made me feel uncomfortable. And when I was asking questions she would cut me off and say If you wait I go over all of this. If you don’t like your job don’t do it. I can only imagine how other women feel if they are making more serious appointments like abortions and what not. I was making a simple appointment and was made so uncomfortable I cancelled it. I didn’t even go there because I was afraid of how it would of went and I didn’t want to waste my time and money with them.

I scheduled my appointment online. The day of my appointment, walked in and signed in. Few people after me came and signed in too. The lady at the front told them how much their cost would be and such and such… okay. Then they call my name, take me to the back and sit me in a room and ask me questions. Later they tell me that the visit alone is $ 60. All I was trying to get were some birth control pills. Then on top of that, 3 month supply was $ 45. I told them I was in a rough situation where I had to quit my job and had to move back home to Arizona. I had no insurance to help with the cost and all I had was $ 60 for the week. They told me i could pay the remaining in 2 weeks. I told the staff I was starting my new job next week and it takes about 2 weeks to even get paid. They were telling me how they dont get much funding and blah blah blah. Basically excuses. I ended up paying the $ 60 and told them I’m never coming back again. They said «have a nice day». I would be understanding if they would of told me up front that the visit alone would be $ 60. Just like the others who they told how much their total would be. But not a single staff member nor did their website state that it would cost me $ 60 for the visit alone and they basically acted like they didn’t care that $ 60 was all I had for the week. I’ve never been treated like that before. They weren’t even understanding and willing to help me. I will never come here again. If i could give 0 stars i would.

I went here 10:30 on a Thursday to get a prescription for birth control. I was helped right away, and every single person there was very nice and personable. It’s the best experience I’ve had at any planned parenthood. I will choose this one over the Mesa and Tempe ones any day.

I have been going to this planned parenthood for 10 years on and off and I must say it has recently become terrible. I waited 45 minutes, and was given the wrong prescription after a 1.5 minute consult. When it was clear to me that the doctor misunderstood and had no idea what pills I was on or how I was taking them (as a nurse conducted the patient interview), she refused to fix it and prescribed me 4 packs of regular pills, for reasons unknown. I wasted an hour and paid $ 45.00 to get a script for 4 months worth of pills. I will not be back, and I urge any women tight on cash to find another Planned Parenthood and avoid this one, there are plenty around the valley to choose from.
