Family Optometry

Excellent service, the doc was on time for our eye appointments and the staff were friendly and efficient. I even found a pair of glasses I liked for under $ 500. All told, our whole tab was under $ 500 and I got transitions, crizal, and lite weight no-​line bifocals. The exam was probably the most thorough I’ve had in years, done by an Opthalmology resident. I had a great experience, even the lady and her multiple out of control foster kids running around screaming didn’t ruin it for me. If you need glasses and you’re in the east valley, I highly recommend coming here.

Friendly staff and genuine service. I felt like Dr. Bacon had a real interest in my son’s well-​being and I trusted his recommendation for vision therapy. We’ve seen a variety of eye doctors through the years… some pediatric optometrists, ophthalmologists, some general family optometry… and Dr. Bacon has shown the most interest and gave me the best sense of understanding of my son’s vision and struggles. The facility itself is nothing special in terms of updated furniture and décor, but the quality of the staff is great. Not once did I feel like I was being oversold or recommended unnecessary services. Front desk is friendly and helpful, and the therapists have all been professional, courteous, and helpful. As a parent and a teacher, I highly recommend! My son is in the midst of therapy now, and I am very pleased!

I just left from here and I am absolutely appalled at the service I received today from the front desk staff. I came to pick up my contacts which were already paid for, so it should’ve been a quick in/​out experience.
This was not the case.
The front desk girl was so unprofessional. When she greeted me she asked for my date of birth and name. I gave this to her and she looked me up. I told her I have contacts waiting for me and she said okay and wrote down a tray number on a piece of paper, then continued to type in her computer.
I thought she was working on something for my file, then I realized she was entering in data from a packet (another patient’s info). I stood in front of her and waited, as she continued entering in info from this packet, even turning the page to enter in another full page of info. Another girl walked up to her and then she said «oh hey can you get this for me?» I had already been standing in front of her for at least 5 solid minutes by this time. The 2^nd girl came back in about 20 seconds with my contacts.
I then decided I wouldn’t be back so I asked for my prescription. The whole ordeal had me in there for 15 – 20 min when it has always been about a 2 minute experience before.
I won’t be back because my time is not respected and I was not valued as a customer.
I did like my Dr, who I believe his name is Dan. He is always a pleasure. But the front desk staff does not treat patients in a respectable manner.

I’ve been coming to this office for about 8 years now and the people are very friendly and helpful. I see Dr. Lewis & he always has a funny joke to make the visit fun. Each of the ladies in the office are very accomodating and they all know me on a first-​name basis since I’ve been coming in all these years!
I had new lenses put in the glasses I’ve worn since 2007 and they made the transaction go smoothly with doing this. I will be getting new lenses in my other pair soon as well and am looking forward to this, as my prescription has a slight change to it.
I recommend this office to anyone I know looking for a new eye doctor and optometrist facility!

I am quite a fan. I have been going for maybe 13 years with my autistic son. We have seen Dr. Carr and Dr. Bacon — both are wonderful. I also have brought my daughters. Most recently we had an emergency visit because my 7 year old daughter got a scratch on her eye and was in lots of pain. I was told to bring her right over and Dr. Bacon got her in immediately. They had no paperwork on her because it had been 6 years since she had an eye exam! (Only ever did the check at one year old.) There was no charge for the visit even though I was told on the phone that just the emergency consult would be $ 75! How is that for amazing care?! I highly recommend this office.

I love Family Optometry! I have been going to them for eleven years. I had to take eye therapy lessons because I had trouble with my peripheral vision when I was in grade school. I had glasses for many years and now I have eye contacts. I have Dr. Tsang as my eye doctor. She’s awesome, very knowledgeable and helpful. Great staff and cute glasses!
