Mike is a badass. I came in with a few pictures of a butterfly tattoo and told him the general idea… I (and my friends) wanted matching 3D butterfly tattoos and he put something together that looked simply AMAZING. If you’ve ever had a tattoo before you know what it means when the guy inking you has a «light hand.» As painless as can be expected (beauty is pain). Super friendly, funny and personable guy. He will schedule appointments over the phone (unlike a few other places in the area that make you physically come in, put down a $ 60 non-​refundable deposit and they MIGHT be able to see you when you schedule it).
This was my most positive tattoo experience to date. Our tats had some elaborate coloring/​blending and he made our tats IDENTICAL. Mike is an expert at what he does! I will be coming back the next time I’m in Phoenix!

I wish I didn’t have to write this follow-​up. A few months ago I got some work done at the shop and I am happy with the work itself. The problem is that I used gift certificates and the owner was not pleased about that as he was expecting cash. When I presented the gift certificates as payment he informed me that that money was already spent and that he wished I would’ve told him ahead of time. It made me wonder if I would’ve received a different quality of work or even a slower process if I would’ve informed him that I had gift certificates to use. Very disappointing and I will not be back.

Got my first Tattoo yesterday here with Michael.
Awesome guy, excellent work, took my sketch and he improved on it, added some details I hadn’t pondered.
The needle work was excellent, no blood, minimal pain, at one day it looks even better than I had hoped.
I am a pretty big guy and have 21″ arms, he knocked out an upper arm piece in about 3 hours, I had been told at other shops it would take at least 5 hours.
I will be going back for the other arm when I can decide on all of the details for that tat.
I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some quality work, Tattoos are not an item that you price shop for!!! Quality is what matters, you own it for life, Michael will give you a quality tattoo…

Michael Bacon is a great artist. Our family and friends have been impressed with his work. He has taken our art and ideas and come up with some amazing tattoos. The place isn’t fancy but who cares? Michael has good music playing, and, BONUS: he does his magic with a light touch.

Micheal did a custom Tattoo for me four years ago. I had an idea and a rather bad drawing of the idea– he took the idea and made it into something great. I love my Tattoo and people ask me about it all the time.

Michael is a good tattoo artist when it comes to fixin or covering up art.
sometimes, he goes on a whim without telling the customer.
His attitude sucks. your a minute late and hes done with you, even if you came clear across the county line. even if he has no one else there. he will throw you out.

I first met the owner of Bacon’s Tattoo U, Michael, about 2 months ago. I walked in to get a flying pig on the inside of my right arm. We shot the s^%t for about a ½ hour when he said…“do you know what my last name is? It’s Bacon.” That’s when I knew he was the one to do my work.
He listened to what I wanted and why I wanted it and created a master piece. He works quickly; has great stories to share; and cares about quality and satisfaction. The overall experience of his shop and his work is top notch.
Most importantly he is affordable. I’m looking forward to working with him on my next piece.
