Aaron Gardner is an excellent attorney. I met him when our family retained him to help handle my father’s estate, and we have been very pleased with the work he did to complete it in little over a year even though it was fairly complicated. Because he is in Oklahoma and I am in California, we accomplished this via email and phone calls. I was impressed that he usually returned emails within a few hours, and was always available by phone. He is very professional, knows the law, and has strong personal skills to deal with difficult people. His hourly rates are *very* reasonable, and he doesn’t inflate the hours he works or pad his bill with phony research. As an attorney who reviews the bills of other attorneys as part of my job, I know this is a common problem with attorneys who are not ethical, and I was impressed that the hours he billed sometimes seemed like less than he actually must have spent on a matter. He sent me copies of all of the documents he prepared, and they were consistently first rate work. I was so impressed with the estate work he did that I consulted him on a real estate sale matter, and found his strategic advice on negotiations to be excellent. He didn’t hesitate to tell me when he thought I was about to make a negotiating mistake, and his review of documents caught important points that my own review didn’t catch. He’s one of those rare people who is both detail oriented *and* can keep an eye on the big issues so the client doesn’t get«lost in the weeds». Also, when I asked him questions about areas of the law that were *not* in his field, he didn’t pretend to know the answer, but offered to consult informally with other attorneys who specialized in that type of law. This worked out very well, giving us the benefit of some«big firm expertise» without the big firm bill. If I ever have legal matters in Oklahoma again, I will definitely consult Aaron, knowing that he will do a first rate legal job for me at a very reasonable fee.
