I camp at Roaring Run about once a month during the summer and have been doing so since 2009. We are currently at the resort and arrived on Monday. When we camp here, we sleep in our RV. The resort offers different types of sites. The most popular appears to us to be the RV spots. We see the cabins but have not stayed in them. We call ahead and reserve our site in as much advance as possible; we recommend this to other people. When we have called in early, we have gotten better sites. Second, the features and amenities that I would rate as Good are the pool and the adult club house. The pool is clean; the deck space around the pool is large and seems to fit everyone without feeling crowded. The adult lodge is a medium-sized lodge that has amenities for 21 and over only. I find it to be comfortable and a peaceful break from other campers. It has leather couches, a big TV, pool table, and other items. I would rate the roads as Average. In a perfect world, I would prefer paved roads. The roads are mostly gravel. The park has posted speed limits. The staff enforces the limits. We’ve seen the park staff give out«tickets» pretty stricly for speeding. I would rate the enforcement of the speed limit as Important because many campers are children, playing and running around. My only complaint is that the place feels crowded on holiday weekends like 4th of July, Memorial Day & Labor Day. I would rate the crowds as heavy on summer holiday weekends. We used to always go on the 4th of July because the activity schedule was full of fun, and it made me reminiscent back to being a kid at summer camp. But the crowds have kept us away the past few years. We never had a problem getting a spot if we called ahead, but the place looked pretty full the last time we were there on July 4th. Overall, I would recommend the park to people who like to camp and prefer a more quiet and private facility. I find the staff to be responsive and friendly attitude; our neighbors around us wherever our site turns out to be are almost always considerate and nice people. The pool is huge and clean. We like coming here. Thanks for reading our review, if anyone has any questions just message me! Thanks

Only way to see the campground is to make an apt and sit through a timeshare like presentation and then you get to drive through. Cabins are nice and clean but the rest of the campground looks like it is not well taken care of and updated 20 years ago. The sites were rather small, shaded which is nice but close together and almost all hills. The pool is not heated and far from everything. The tennis and basketball courts are a joke and hidden by the trailer storage. When we finally left they gave us our certificate for free camping. We have tried to book it twice via phone during the last week and they keep saying they will call us back. We don’t want to even check it out.
