I’ve been going to her for about three years now, and I’ve been happy with results. I get a basic haircut. Very clean salon, friendly.

I searched several places for a baby haircut and was turned down because my thirteen-month-old son moved around and would cry whenever someone touches him. I called Ms. Yuko if she could help me with this. It took her half an hour for the haircut and my son did not cry at all. He actually enjoyed it. She’s very patient and did a great job! I would highly recommend those who look for a place to get your babies or kids haircuts.

This is the worst ever!!! I can’t believe the good reviews other people have given. I went there on a Monday. I clearly told her that I only want my ends trimmed by ½ an inch. I don’t know how she interpreted that, but I end up with hair that I can barely tie into a ponytail!!! I asked her to cut my bangs to the length that skims my eyebrow. Then I am left with a VERY short bang that is way up my eyebrow. Now I look like a 10 year old with a cartoon character hair style! I nearly cried when she is done. Well, she wasn’t exactly done before I just stopped her and said that I can’t stand it anymore… Be aware that she probably doesn’t know how to use a scissor. That’s why she was using a razor to cut everything, from layers to bangs. If you have coarse/stiff hair like I do, razor is gonna make it curl up outward… I would give this place zero star if I could…

Yuko was really friendly. She gave me the best haircut I’ve ever gotten(My hair is extremely thick and I always have problems getting it cut). The razor cut worked wonders!

Today, I experienced the worst hair cut I have ever had. 1. Yuko cut my sideburns without asking what I want and they look ugly! The Hair Clipper isn’t sharp at all and my sideburns look like unshaved for couple of days! WTH! 2. She didn’t wash my hair after the haircut so there are short hair on my face and neck. She said if I want my hair washed she will charge me. This is the only haircut I have ever had without any wash after the cut. And she told me that the wind outside will blow the short hair away. LMAO! I have read all the previous reviews and I believed she is good. It turned out to be a terrible decision. I can’t believe that u guys rated this hair salon five stars and I drove more than 10 mins from campus to get my hair cut that ugly. If you are a young man and care about your hair style, don’t let this 50-year-old Japanese madam cut your hair!

Yuko has been cutting my hair for well over ten years. She always finds a way to work me in even when I call at the last minute. The haircuts have always been professionally done and the price has always been reasonable. It is so nice to have a business operator you can always depend on. She’s the best!

My previous experiences with hair-cutting professionals in this area has been quite abysmal; it came to the point where I would avoid cutting my hair until I would go back to California and get my haircuts with competent people there. Yuko has changed my opinion about the quality of such stores here since: 1. the haircut was exactly to my liking 2. my weird Asian hair didn’t trip her up at all and 3. the cost of her efficient cutting was only $ 17. My only criticism of this establishment is that it does not accept credit card. NB: The place is hard to find given its location so a tip is to park at the«Picture Perfect Studios» and then walk to the side nearest Springfield.

Wonderful salon with simple modern décor. The owner(sole proprietor) consistently does a fine job on my Asian hair. At around $ 20, it’s not dirt cheap, but an incredible value given the quality. Even though appointments are not required, you should call ahead to ensure availability.(Also note the salon is closed every first Monday of the month.)

I like Yuko Hair a lot. I stumbled across this salon as I was looking for an urgent hair cut in Champaign. My hair cut was $ 18, and she used a hand razor for my entire haircut, she didn’t use scissors once. Yuko has been in the US for 2 decades, and was trained in Japan to cut hair. Usually that technique costs me a fortune at high-end salons. I was thrilled with the results, and got many compliments later. I would recommend Yuko to anyone who wants a no-frills, great haircut at an amazing price.

I get a trim every couple of weeks from Yuko. She’s such a friendly and kind person. And she knows how to cut Asian hair, unlike, well, most stylists in the Midwest. I hope I don’t come across as racist… but, well, it’s true. At least she knows how to cut –this– Asian dude’s hair well, where I haven’t had the best of luck at many other local salons. Always willing to try something new, or stick to the old tried-and-true — very accommodating, both in schedule and in style. Two thumbs up.

My Mom loves this place — the owner is Japanese, and she does a great job with straight hair. Nice and clean, too.
