Great company! I had a piece of glass and a scrub pad stuck in my garbage disposal and it stopped working. Even though it was a somewhat simple problem, it was something I couldn’t tackle. Schoonover was really good about accommodating my schedule and my plumber was even early to the appointment. He was in and out within 10 minutes and took care of the problem. They charged me a very very reasonable rate and I was glad I called them instead of my landlord (who probably would have charged me even more!)

I had a tolit problem this morning. They come in very fast. The main reason is that the tree root growing in to the pump. We had couple of big trees around the house.
The guy did a very good job. The price he gave me was fair. Next time, I will call them again when the same problem happen.

After calling Schoonover and setting up an appointment to have my sewer line cleaned out they arrived a half hour late to start work. in less than 30 minutes the guy had his line stuck on some roots. He spent the next 75 minutes trying to get it unstuck and eventually gave up and left with my line still clogged saying I needed to have the line dug up and replaced and he recommended me to one of his friends. Because this sounded shady I had another plumber who I knew come in from out of town and he had the line clear in 30 min.
This wasn’t the worst part. There was a standard charge of $ 110 for the line clearing, however there was an additional $ 150 charge for the job taking longer than 75 minutes. It was clear this job shouldn’t have taken this long and when the other guy got his line stuck he stayed just long enough to give me this extra charge and then cut his line and left. After arguing with them for 20 min on the phone about this charge not being my fault his cutter got stuck he refused to reduce the bill because there were roots in the line. No kidding — that is the point of using a cutter and why I called. They didn’t do the job I called them for and would not budge on charging me over $ 130/​hour for it. I’m an engineer — maybe I should have been a plumber so I could make that kind of money — oh wait I don’t think I could live with the guilt…

…After calling a LONG list of the big name plumbers in Champaign to come and unclog my kitchen sink, none of whom deal with small issues, I found Schoonover. They sent a van with TWO plumbers within 20 minutes, and they only charged $ 78 total. I was so happy with the service and really impressed with the speed! HIGHLY recommended.
