Extremely disappointed with schnucks ! I ordered a flower arrangement for my wife to be delivered on her birthday and they tried to deliver them a week early. I even called to make sure I had the right date and I did. It ruined her birthday surprise ! I will never order flowers from them again !

The only place we can get Boboli pizza crusts! It’s also nice to have so close to home for last minute stops, but it is too expensive to do all the grocery shopping here.

We ordered a small cake and more than 100 cupcakes for our wedding here. Best decision ever. We spent somewhere around $ 100 for it all, and that included delivery to our venue. If you plan to go the same route I would talk with Pam, the head baker. While Schnucks doesn’t do weddings per say, she worked with me to make our $ 13 cake look the way I envisioned.

Store review: More grocery options are always a plus. I still can’t figure out what grocery store will be my go to location in Champaign. This one has some positives which include a free cookie self serve for kids under 11 with adults present. I was wondering why people were just grabbing a cookie and giving it to their kids to eat. Another nice positive is 50% off donuts after 6 pm. If you like yeast donuts these are pretty good. The store is clean and well lit. The only downside is the prices are average or higher than other locations. I will come here to check it out for deals when I can. Pros: free bakery cookie for kids under 11, 50% off donuts after 6 pm Cons: average prices Hidden deals: Free cookie for kids 50% off donuts after 6 pm You can use internet coupons, but check out the extensive coupon policy on the website. No coupons over 5 dollars, no free item coupons, no 2 coupons on BOGO items, no coupon value over purchase value

A little pricey! But has a lot of items wal mart and others don’t. Walking distance from the place & has anything you would need!

Been here three times. They’re knowledgeable and friendly thus far; no reason not to like it. And the prices are pretty damn good.

I will avoid this place at all cost because not one, not two,(pardon me LeBron), but three items I went looking for here… not available! Whether they did not carry them or they were out of stock. Nothing like my experience in DeKalb where I loved this store! Interesting side note: It seems like everyone who here is shopping is just yelling… yelling at each other… and I’m not even just talking about children! I’m talking about adult customers and workers! I will stick to Target and Walmart for my Champaign big store trips!

Just left here. The store manager is so fckn rude. As im asking the store manager about the store policy she walks away. If you buy alcohol(with a group) don’t go here. They card everyone, even if one person is buying alcohol(which is fxkn dumb). Such a waste of time. Will never come back.

I began going here out of convenience, as it is the closest grocery store to my apartment. I wasn’t thrilled, because the prices are at least a smidge higher than the rest. What I get in return, though, makes it worth it. There’s a nice selection of cheeses, «fresh» fish and meat, and produce. I don’t have to sift through and inspect the fruits and veggies to make sure there’s no bugs or rotten spots. There was only one instance where I bought some raspberries and there was some fuzz growing on them. Their gas card is a nice little bonus if you’re going to be spending the money there anyway. $.05 off per gallon of gas for every $ 25 spent(pre-tax). I do wish they had a coffee shop inside.

Nice store, but I do have one complaint. It is the only grocery chain that keeps the heat way up. Does not seem it would be good for keeping food fresh.

Best place for produce variety, and love their ground sirloin– but I’ve had a handful of experiences where their prepackaged lunchmeat and condiments(mayo) being sold past their use by date… which shouldn’t happen when I’m paying premium prices.

My favorite spot for Groceries in Champaign, although I usually go to the one in Savoy more often. I think they have the best produce and more options in terms of organic food(aside from the obvious Strawberry Fields and the like). The salad bar, deli, and soups are pretty solid too. I’m a fan. I also really love their gas program. Just for buying groceries there you can get huge discounts at their gas stations. I’ve gotten $.75 off per gallon a few times, it’s awesome.

The salad bar is really good. The tuna salad is the best. They always have a good variety and it is always fresh. I haven’t tried the soups because I think they are way too expensive. Very easy to get in and out of because they have the self check outs.

Either you do fresh fish or not. There is no in between. I got some fish that were not the freshest(U$ 30.00). I should have asked them to smell it, like on Emeril. Really nice facility, but you pay for it, and you can’t eat it. Have speciality items, if that’s what you are looking for. Can’t beat Meijers on most items.

Schnucks Champaign is great, and keeps getting better and better. Apart from the Urbana Farmer’s Market, it is my favorite place to buy food. You don’t need a card or coupons to get savings, the Fuel Rewards card is really amazing(especially if you commute like us), and their range of organic, ethnic and gourmet stock is always growing… keep it up! It is also the nicest atmosphere to shop for groceries in C-U.

The new Full Circle line of organic products has made Schnucks my first choice for groceries. There is a wide selection of FUll Circle items and they are very good in terms of quality and price. Unlike Strawberry Fields, the prices on the Full Circle products are competitive with non-organic items and sometimes even cheaper. The Full Circle olive oil is also REALLY good(comparable to the oo I get from one of those trendy little olive oil botiques in the Chicago area) and actually cheaper than most of the non-organics. Schnucks is also the best grocery store in town for fresh produce, and their salad bar is a great lunch option.

While I go to Meijer for my weekly shopping, Schnucks never disappoints when I need to pick something up quickly. The produce here is way more fresh than Meijer, but a bit more pricey. Also, there is always some form of ice cream on an excellent sale! The Schnucks select ice cream is super cheap and really just as good as Edy’s or Breyer’s. I never buy ice cream at Meijer because it’s just never on sale.

Definitely better selection and quality compared to IGA or County Market. Now that Meijer has revamped their store, you can get a lot of the same items cheaper than Schnucks.

When I went to college at U of Illinois Schnuck’s was my favorite grocery store! The salad bar they have there was the number one reason I would stop in here! Everything here is fresh and they have a huge selection of liquor and beer-which is obviously important to any college student!

Awesome selection at this grocery — the place is huge. They also sell some of the freshest meat and product available in the markets. They are expensive though, and there’s a great opportunity to blow your bread/milk/eggs money on bread, milk, eggs, bouquet of flowers, nail polish, Christmas lights, a DVD or two, snapware, dinner from the deli, a patio set and a backpack for your kid. But if you’re putting together a nice party or a special dinner, this is it.
