Full disclosure: I’m an East Coast transplant who, after four and a half years, is still desperately trying to get a seafood fix in central Illinois. For some reason, I just haven’t given up get; I probably should.
At any rate, this place is not going to change my mind about locating decent seafood in the Midwest. It’s tiny, grody, and when I asked if they had any tuna he pulled pre-​packaged salmon out of the freezer and said it was the only tuna they had. (Seriously, it had SALMON written on the package in giant letters.) We wound up going to Schnuck’s instead; I would recommend the same for other prospective seafood-​purchasers.
