My roommates and I signed a lease with CCR for our senior year at U of I and loved our house. However… near the end of our lease, we received an email from CCR with instructions of what to do prior to move out. This included «maintaining the lawn». I called PJ, at CCR, asking about this and he confirmed over the phone that we did not have to worry about the yard during out move out. 2 months later, when we FINALLY received our security deposit, $ 80 was subtracted for ‘lawn maintenance ‘. We called to fight the expense, but PJ conveniently could «not remember our phone conversation». Needless to say, make sure you get everything in writing from these guys, or else get ready to be taken advantage of.
