Neatly organized Indian grocery place in the middle of Champaign area. They have pretty much everything you will need. Owner was very helpful with explaining and finding things on my list.

It doesnt have anything Mirsung doesn’t and Mirsung is so much closer if you are a student. A bit of a disappointment. Oh, you also have to spend $ 15 in order to use a credit card

Only store in Champaign-Urbana that carries Southasian stuff. Owner is friendly and always eager to help. Merchandise is fresh. A lil bit expensive as compared to Chicago but that is understandable. Fresh vegetables every Thursday. Dependable business.

Really nice little store and the owner is super friendly and willing to help people unfamiliar with Indian cooking. I will be coming back here in the future. Also, the premade roti they carry are surprisingly good for something that takes a couple of seconds to warm up and eat.

I always have full faith that Annapoorna will have what I need when I’m cooking Indian cuisine. For instance: I went to two other places looking for curry leaves before finally arriving at Annapoorna. The owner greeted me immediately and asked if he could help me. I asked for curry leaves, wincing in anticipation of him saying«No, we don’t carry that.» Instead he said, «Curry leaves? Yes. Right here.» And he handed me a baggie full of them for under $ 2. Also, the samosas in their refrigerator? HEAVEN. INEXPENSIVEHEAVEN. They’re spicy and magical and I want them all the time.
