Super 8 Chambersburg / Scotland Area

This hotel not for everyone I get that, driving semi get chance stay in hotel on need to basis this hotel not as clean, and/​or stylish as 5 star hotel suite but it is clean and without insects no order and staff are friendly also pet friendly so I say to one’s who don’t want stay here go get yourself 5 star 170 $ night room but if you want comfortable 70 $ night stay then come to Super 8 don’t see that much wrong with this room and I’m world worst critic.

The night staff was incredibly rude, and despite the advertising with the word «updated» should be a crime for this place. Even though we’re in a non smoking room, all of our sheets have cigarette burns on them. I had to clean the toilet, because apparently no one else did. This place is just filthy.

Not impressed at all! Actually, more repulsed than anything. It appears nothing has been updated in over 10 years.
Parked my car in the lot out front. Walked inside and was greeted by a less than enthusiastic staff member. I was asked for my license and my vehicles license plate number as well as make and model which kind of confused me. I’ve never had to provide that information at a hotel before. She quickly processed my information and got me my room key. I was placed in the lower level of the hotel, which was fine by me. To get down to the room, I had to take a stinky old elevator downstairs. The walls are a slim green color with a small odor lingering. Lights were dim and quite honestly, a little of a resemblance to a hostel.
My room was less than I was expecting. The furniture was very outdated. The bed was a mere box spring. I honestly would have rather slept out in my car for the night than pay for this awful night of sleep. The room was cozy warm (which I LOVE). This helped make up for everything else.
If I were to own this establishment, I would definitely look into at least painting different colors throughout the hotel. The slim color is not flattering nor is it welcoming. Update the furniture and lighting fixtures. That’s it. That would make for a much better experience.
$ 60.00 for a single bed for one night. I would have rather paid $ 30 or $ 40 instead. It was a quick place to sleep but still, you want to not be repulsed by the location.

I love these places. I have been traveling off of the east cost headed to nyc. These places are affordable, reasonable prices. There convenient. I love the service that they provide. The only thing I wish they would fix is the cable.

Less than impressed. It’s not updated enough for the price. The owner of this hotel owns two others. One in Shippensburg, its the best western. Much nicer than the super 8. I’d suggest you drive 9 more miles north and go there. On the plus side they have a mall right across the street with a movie theater.

Found a great deal here trough Orbitz when needing a quick place to stay on a long unexpected trip.
Clean rooms and no funky odors in our no smoking room. Checkin was easy and friendly.
Otherwise we just plopped in for a few Zzzs then hit the road. Would stay here again 100% over some of the ramshackle alternatives we saw when looking.
