This site has been through one restaurant after another and all were pretty bad. I was hesitant to try again but went for a late breakfast with my kids seeing as they have all day breakfast. The minute I walked in I could tell a difference! The décor was warm and cozy and the staff was very nice! I ordered the western omelette with home-fries and my sons ordered waffle and bacon. Food was delivered quickly, hot, and was delicious! The bacon is some of the best I have had and was cooked exactly like we like it. I am glad we gave it a try because I will definitely be back! If you have never tried it, I encourage you to do so.

Wow!!! I am SOO surprised to see all these positive reviews. I have given this restaurant a fair chance. I have dined in a total three times, each time worse than the last. Check out the latest food inspection…(public ) this restaurant got close to 10 violations!!! I have received cold food, scrambled eggs with shells in them, and under cooked food. Portions are hefty but who cares when the food is disgusting. When I talk to management about these problems, I could tell this man has never been in a restaurant management position before. He had no customer service skills and he just didn’t know how to talk to people. I witnessed a waitress come out of the kitchen/server area with her dirty hands all over a customers hot food. The service was always slow. The waitresses are unknowledgeable about the menu and always unable to tell me what is in certain dishes(chicken pot pie… for example). I have food allergies so I have to watch what I eat so I expect the server to know the menu or at least be able to find out. When I explained this to the server, she gave me an attitude. When I received my bill it has been a handwritten check that has been illegible, priced incorrectly(with tax), and covered in greasy food stains. It’s almost 2016, restaurants should have a POS system so there is no question what’s on your bill and if it’s priced correctly. Worst restaurant in Chambersburg, by far. It’s going to be like every other restaurant in that’s space and go under.

Not bad, we went for breakfast and everything was good. They had a traditional central PA menu, ie nothing exciting, but they had all the standards; pancakes, eggs, breakfast meats, and omelets. Service was quick and the food was cheap.

Awesome food, super friendly service and clean nice bathroom. Turkey is real roasted turkey breast and the crab soup is awesome. Try the bisquits with homemade apple butter.

First time visit & definitely won’t be the last! Had a bite of family’s meal; sauerkraut & lasagna, both fresh and flavorful. Soup was excellent, homemade chicken corn was my choice — yummy. & when my chopper steak arrived, it was AWESOME, not some little glorified hamburger but 12 ounces of chopped steak, thick & juicy, smothered in a mushroom & onion gravy. Oh, & I can’t forget to mention the homemade apple butter and fresh made biscuits, delicious!!! The prices are reasonable & the service great. :)

Stopped here because of the positive reviews on Unilocal. We were not disappointed. Two in our party ordered the roasted turkey and stuffing and enjoyed it very much. The portion was generous for the price. I ordered the crab cake and loved it, it was one of the better crab cakes I have enjoyed in awhile. Very generous portion. Our server was Mary Lou, she was very friendly and attentive. She took very good care of us. We will recommend your restaurant to our friends. Nice job!

Don’t let the previous restaurants in this location deter you, Hickory Ridge is nothing like those. Food was amazing, service was great, remodeled inside and good prices. I’m a fan and will be back.

We happened upon this quaint restaurant. The décor is country and cute. Very clean. The service was excellent. But to be honest the food is the best part. The portions are large and it is very affordable. Everything tasted so good. Highly recommend

Affordable prices, friendly service, and delicious food. Exactly what a diner should be. They have completed upgraded the inside and it’s cozy and clean. The Chesapeake burger was a huge hit too!

Food was excellent we had the Brisket with home made gravy and mashed potatoes. Service needs work, I ordered Vegetable soup and it came out with my meal, so til I got to my entrée it was starting to get ciold, and our waitress asked us half way through our meal if we would be having dessert. I’m sure this will get better, she was young and needs a little more training, But the food was really good.

We’ve been here twice since it opened, both times for breakfast. They have a nice selection of breakfast items, and you can view all of their menus on their website, which is sometimes helpful. The food is genuinely good and tastes freshly cooked. Eggs are well cooked, not slimy or over-done and home fries had a wonderful crisp to them. Bacon is thicker than diner-style, but was well-done and crispy, just how I like it. The coffee is also good, and water/soda/tea comes to you in cool Mason jars. If you went to the previous 2 restaurants which occupied this space, don’t let that spoil your view on this new one. It is NOTHING like the previous ones(Diamond Plate and Sunset Diner). They completely re-did the interior, it has a country setting, warm, neutral colors and very welcoming. Staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to help both times. Food came out hot and at good speed. Prices for breakfast are very reasonable. The one visit, my mom asked if she could substitute a small bowl of oatmeal instead of home fries. They had no problem with that, and gave her quite a large bowl, all at no additional charge. Now, that all may change in the future, but if not, wonderful. Allowing substitutions is kind of a big deal to me, not everyone wants what comes with a meal. I can understand the need to charge for a more«premium» substitution, but portion sizes can be controlled in those circumstances in order to not have to charge. If you haven’t yet, try it out. I don’t know how lunch and dinner are, but breakfast is good.
