Since their move to Wayne Ave., I am a fan of Chambersburg Goodwill. Chambersburg has one of the nicer Goodwill’s that I’ve been to. The store is large, bright, and well-stocked. All of their items, even housewares, are organized by color. You would think that would make shopping a pain, but it’s actually a surprisingly good way to sort stuff. They have«tag days» that discount items based on the color of their pricing sticker. Stuff at this Goodwill is a bit expensive, so you’ll find the best prices on those days. For a thrift store, Chambersburg Goodwill isn’t a bad place to browse.

Now that Goodwill is on Wayne Ave., it’s wonderful. The store is big, bright, and laid out well. They have plenty of fitting rooms, so that’s nice. Clothes are sorted by type then color. Lots of purses and bags to choose from. The entire back is miscellaneous items, housewares, small electronics, small furniture, etc. You’ll have to dig a little, but you could find a treasure. Every now and then they do a 50% off sale, where pretty much everything in the store is half price. They announce it on Facebook(Keystone Goodwill) ahead of time so you can know. Those days, the store is packed, especially in the morning. Normal prices are reasonable, although sometimes you’ll find an item and wonder who in their right mind would pay that much for it. You’ll almost always find new items from Target in this store. Goodwill often ends up with items Target hasn’t sold, and they’re brand new. All categories, too. The employees are very efficient each and every time I make a transaction. Use the rewards card to take advantage of specials all the time. There’s a board right inside the door which tells you what’s on sale with the card. If you’re wondering, yes, they do take credit cards. I really enjoy shopping in Goodwill, always a bargain to be found, you just gotta look!
