7÷6÷2013: We have been a long-time customer of CV Wenger for both our natural-gas fueled, forced steam heating system and wall-mounted AC system. This past week, my 83YO mother had requested a service call twice for normal business hours service to the upstairs, wall-mounted SANYO wall-mounted AC unit which cools the 2nd floor bedrooms where she sleeps. Both calls to their office she was told a service tech would be there that day. Both days, no one showed. When her sleep was being interrupted, I placed a call to their after hours answering service. I was told by the answering service that my message would be given to the on-call person. No one returned my call. Another call to their answering service the next morning, I was told that it is CV Wenger policy not to respond to after hours AC-related calls until the next business day. If your 83YO mother is living alone and you are concerned about her health and safety during hot weather, I would strongly recommend that you find another HVAC service that cares about the health and safety of their customers — particularly customers who have spent thousands of $ with this contractor over several decades.
