Bought a jumbo egg shape pipe along with some Northwoods a couple of years back. Since then I have amassed eight Boswell pipes. The service is amazing and they make you feel right at home. Their craftsmanship with their briars is what will keep me coming back. Before I lived 5.5 hours away, now I live 50 minutes away,…its on like Donkey Kong!

I’m not sure why I only rated this shop 4 stars in my previous review. It’s been 3 years and I still visit 2 or 3 times a year (I live about an hour away) in addition to having tobacco shipped to me. All my favorite aromatic blends come from Boswell’s and I own at least a half dozen of their pipes. Their English blends (Northwoods, at least) are good too, but I prefer «lat-​bombs» when I go English.
Their selection of non-​Boswell pipes isn’t great (corn cobs, meerschaum, and estate pipes) but if you go to Boswell’s you’re going for their pipes and house blends anyway, so that’s hardly a knock. Where else can you go to spend an afternoon smoking your new pipe and tobacco and talk with the guys that made both?

I don’t know what to add. This is the best tobacco shop I have ever been in and it could quite possibly be the best in the U. S…seriously. JM Boswell is an internationally respected pipe maker who sells his pipes all over the world and you can buy those pipes in his shop as well. He also sells fine cigars and excellent tobacco that he blends himself, or maybe now his son does. I have been buying pipes and tobacco from Boswells for 17 years and I can attest to the fact that they are excellent people who make and sell excellent products with down home friendliness. You have to stop in if you like pipes and/​or cigars; you won’t be disappointed.

This is probably the best pipe and cigar store I have seen in a very long time. They have a great selection of pipe tobacco and cigars and specialize in hand-​made pipes. The upstairs lounge is decorate with comfort in mind and has an air of sophistication.

This place has existed longer than i have. Ever since I was a kid I was drawn to this place, and when i was finally old enough to buy my own smokes, I stepped inside. I was into the high priced cigars at the time and didn’t know much. Thankfully the friendly service inside got me going in the right direction. They have a walk in humidor that houses their cigar collection. CAO, Acid, Montecristo, Punch, Don Diego, whatever you smoke, its here. They have a massive selection and if you aren’t sure what you are looking for, just ask.
The real treat is the pipe section. Jim Boswell hand crafts his own pipes, and is very well known. Not just here, but he is becoming a major player the world over. His hand crafting demands top dollar, but for good reason. But, there isn’t need to blow your wallet either. Plenty of lower end stuff, even corn cob pipes about. Stands, humidors, tools, lighters, filters… Think of it, and its here.
Want a great tobacco to run through a pipe? They hand blend their own mixes and dear sweet baby Jesus do they smell like orgasms rolled in money after being deep fried in gold. A decent selection is available to smell in big glass jars at the pipe counter right outside the walk in humidor, along with piles of tins for perusing. Another major plus, a few awesome couches to sit on, kick back and light up. Jim and his son Dan know how to run a business. If you want real service with quality products to match, this is THE place.

I’m all the way in Hawaii but I order tobacco for my husband (who is in Iraq) through these guys all the time. They are friendly and veyr easy to work with. They always send him some extras, like cigars or tobacco samples, and they have a great variety of pipe tobacco to choose from. My husband loves every flavor he gets! I highly recommend these guys.
