A Chagrin Falls classic. This little shop is so charming and soothes the soul the moment you step foot in the door. The aroma of crisp, fresh book pages lingers in the air and a feeling of inspiration just overcomes you! You’ll find great prices here, that’s for sure, but more importantly you will find a great variety of inventory! Shop local and support your neighbors!

One of my favorite places to visit when I’m in town. I always seem to find something I’ve been hunting for, and if they don’t have it just ask and they’ll order it.

I knew I was in trouble when I saw the window display containing a few Mary Higgins Clark books. Although the quaintness of the store seems fitting for the charming downtown area, the inventory-especially the used books– is very middlebrow. Many mass-market paperbacks of genre fiction and Chicken Soup for the Soul(filling up an entire room) and the art section seems limited to coffee table books. Very little appeal to serious readers of literature. There is a devotion to having a collection of new fiction and bestsellers, but the curation-or lack of– of mass-market genre fiction like your grandma’s westerns with cracked spines or your mom’s stash of romance paperbacks-seems to dwarf the potential of this space. I was hoping for a more quality selection of used books.

Bargain books. Quaint character. An establishment with personality and charm. Talked to the cashier, they have been here for 50+ years. The hardware across the street — even longer. Get off that assembly line and rediscover your soul here.

This book store is really nice. It is calm and somewhat old fashion. It fits in well with the town of chagrin falls.(Which is a beautiful place) The only thing that i don’t like is how squeaky the floors are on the top floor, but it seems to be a bit older so it is understandable as to why that is.

Quaint shop… People always can order what you want. If you don’t by local, all you’ll have is Barnes and Noble! My son told the owner, he was going to buy Fireside when he was older and then keep all the books for himself, so he’d have the most books of anyone! In the meantime, everyone else feel free to shop there.

Lovers of books seek these stores out with a passion! The outside is deceiving as there are three floors and a back room inside. You won’t leave here disappointed.

Fireside Book Shop is a great independent bookstore in Downtown Chagrin Falls. It is located right near the gazebo. The store is nicely sized considering its location. There are two stories, with the lower one being the largest by far. They have a great selection of books. It is very nicely organized, which makes it easy to find what you’re looking for. When I compare this to the Learned Owl in Hudson, where I live, it wins by far. I didn’t like the Learned Owl to begin with, but seeing this bookstore cements it even more. Overall, if you are looking for an independent bookstore with a great selection and full of charm, stop by Fireside Book Shop.

Great local bookstore, with authentic creaky floors!!! Large selection of used books. Very cute assortment of letterpress boxed cards… should have picked some up!
