If you want good draft beer then this is a good spot. Otherwise there are cockroaches on and behind the bar and the bartenders try to steal from you by not bringing your change when you pay.

Firewaters is pretty OK. The good: the staff are SUPER friendly and efficient and will chat with the customers when not too busy. The atmosphere is pretty«cool» for a local bar, generally without being too obnoxious. They have a HUGE selection of beers on tap and it’s fun to try different ones. The bar is connected to the Hooters so you have a full menu of food to choose from. The downside is that sometimes in can smell a little funky; like they had a spill and then it got moldy. The price is a bit on the high side and the size of the drinks aren’t the biggest I’ve ever seen. The bar is connected to the Hooters so the female employees dress somewhat scantily which makes me a little uncomfortable about their being potentially exploited. My real issue with the place is that they allow smoking(which doesn’t help the smell). On the one hand, I don’t understand how that’s legal, on the other hand you have to be prepared to breath in smoke and to come out reeking when you leave. Still, I generally prefer this to Duffer’s up the street which usually only has sad old men like me in it.

They open at 4PM Been here twice. On a Friday night a month ago and it was slow and cold. Wife got those finny named drinks that she enjoys. Hannah made them to her liking. We were able to talk but had to leave ad it was cold. Went to another place but returned. This time place wad warmer and some more people . Now on 12⁄12 we returned. We had a good time. was warm and friendly staff. You, if you do, have to smoke outside now. We plan to return and use Hooters menu for food.

Was looking at the beer list given to me, tried to order 2 different beers but apparently they didn’t have either of them. The bartender then told me not to look at the list and to just look at the taps on the wall. Hard to see them since I wasn’t sitting close to the taps and even if I was I am not familiar with some of them– especially the craft beers. Also a guy staying at the hotel next door was trying to get us to come to his hotel party. He was obviously very drunk and wouldn’t leave us alone. One the guys in our group eventually told him we weren’t interested and to back off. The bartender then told us we shouldn’t of told him that because he could beat my guy friend up. WTF? then the guy fell of his barstool and the bartender had to walk him back to the hotel. Very Classy…

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the beer selection. I have been going here for a few years and it, until recently, was a nice place to hang out. They USED to have a chic martini bar, dj, dance floor – lounge atmosphere and then a bar if you just wanted a «bar experience.» Now, no smoking, no dj, no fun! They put up a bunch of flat screen tvs that play music videos — not sure who these songs appeal to. If I’m at a bar/lounge I want dance music! I can do house to hip hop, and they offered none! The drinks were mostly juice and after 4 – 5 drinks I wasn’t even buzzed. They should turn the whole place into a bar because they have failed to create any other atmosphere. Also, there are mostly guys that attend(unless you’re looking for drunk girls who are having their post-reception party there). Will not be going back.

The best thing about FW’s is the beer selection. Other than that this place is a schlong fest. The only women here are the ones working behind the bar and they’re not very chatty. They appear to share the kitchen with Hooters and have an adjacent hallway between both facilities. Nothing special at all.

I had a horrific experience at Firewaters and will NEVER go back. After my Saturday night wedding reception, several of us wanted to continue celebrating for a few more hours and we decided to come to Firewaters. I’m 30+ years old, as is my husband, and I was still in my wedding dress when we arrived, but the bouncer turned us away since my ID was somewhere back at the hotel(I didn’t carry my driver’s license on my wedding day). I was CLEARLY not under 21, but the bouncer was on some petty power trip. Whatever. After going back to the hotel for my ID we returned to Firewaters, which may have been our biggest mistake. The bouncer was as much of a jerk when we came back with the ID as he was when he turned me away. Once inside, the place was loud, crowded and the floors were sticky. They did have a decent beer selection, and after getting a pint of my favorite brew, I began to enjoy myself a little. We were able to grab a small table in the back while we celebrated some more. We didn’t have table service and instead had to go to the bar for our drinks, which was fine. But at one point, one of the staff came by and cleared away dishes and my husband’s $ 20 half-empty bottle of Chimay! We turned our backs for a minute, and the beer was gone. Irritated, we decided to leave. As we walked toward the hallway-like exit, one of my friends was assaulted by one of the patrons sitting at the bar. He just reached out and grabbed her crotch. The bouncer did nothing about this, despite standing very nearby and hearing the commotion, so my friend’s husband took matters into his own hands. The night ended so badly that I will never go back to this place again. So, although the beer selection is good, the staff don’t always let you finish what you’ve purchased. Babysit your beer, or it may be cleared away before you’re finished with it. And the security at the establishment are a joke… more concerned with carding people who are obviously not underage than they are with preventing the sexual assault of their guests by drunken patrons. As if that wasn’t enough, they have these obnoxious billboards that encourage you to «Drink your date pretty»… turns my stomach every time I see them.

They have a wide selection of beers on tap, some everyday local favs and alot of hard to find selections. Everytime I go to Firewaters I try and order something different or new. The staff is nice and like the previous reviewer stated, the bartenders look like Hooter girls. They are friendly and not bad to look at either :-) My only gripe is that I wish they served food that wasnt from the Hooters next door(not a fan of their food in general). Firewaters is always a good time especially with a group of friends or co-workers.

AWEsome bar. 50+ beers on tap. daily happy hour(5 – 7) where they throw $ 2 signs on random taps. wednesdays everything on tap is $ 2 during happy hour. i think all day every day $ 3 capt morgans and coke. there’s a martini bar in the back, but the usual crowd there arent exactly martini people. the bar is connected to a Hooter’s. the bartender’s here are the retired all stars of the Hooter’s, i think. retired meaning they have a brain and are calendar worthy. not old. there’s a pool table, dart board, jukebox, arcade golf, and deer hunter. oh and fridays at 5, free food bar.
