Best dim sum I every had. Great assortment and the service was great. I have stopped going to my childhood dim sum place ever since I have found out about this place!!!

Ordered from each category of beef, chicken, pork, and vegetable. I don’t know when new management took over the place but all dishes were non oily. Only thing was their spicy fried pork with salt was little too salty for my taste. Other than that It was good meal. 4 dishes and rice came out the be around $ 45.

I’ve been going to this place for quite some time but never had the time to write a proper review of this place. I usually come here after 1pm when its less hectic but this time I came before 12 noon and hit the lunch crowd. This place(and any dim sum place for that matter) is hectic and busy but the servers are pretty good here and seems improved since management has changed. Every sever is very helpful if you need a fork or chopstick or need to order something from the menu rather than getting dim sum. I recommend the following: 1. Shrimp or Pork Shu Mai 2. Rice Porridge 3. Beef Chow Fun 4. Beef with Broccoli 5. Dumplings Make sure you ask for the sirracha and hot mustard sauce as they only give upon request. If you come around 11am-1pm, you will have to wait at least 15−20mins for lunch. I’m not sure about the morning as I usually come at this time. The food here is pretty good but there are better dim sum places but I am not willing to make an hour drive to Din Tai Fung just for dim sum. I recommend this place if you frequent dim sum places often and don’t mind a fast paced restaurant.

I’ve become a frequent customer at Prince Seafood Restaurant ever since I realized they served Dim Sum on weekends. Positives: 1) The restaurant is huge. 2) Always crowded, with lines that move very quickly. 3) Not one of those restaurants where if you don’t speak Chinese/aren’t Chinese, you won’t get anywhere. 4) The ladies are pretty nice, rotating by with their carts full of yummy dim sum and desserts! 5) Great dim sum! I’ve tried almost everything(minus some of the odder delicacies), but it’s all good. 6) Separate from the dim sum comment… their egg tarts are really good here! Smaller than some places, but not lacking in flavor! Negatives: 1) It can sometimes get a bit too busy, and the servers get a little disorganized. It’s always a good thing to keep track of your dishes whenever you order to-go or lunch dishes not trolleyed on the carts. So overall, it’s a great place to grab dim sum with friends or family on a weekend. Definitely give it a try if you’re in the area, or don’t want to travel all the way to LA Chinatown for dim sum!

Went to this place with my entire family. Or at least my father’s side of the family. We were able to take up an entire table, which is a novelty for me because we don’t eat out as a huge family that often. I guess because we were the only ones there, service was really quick and we were constantly attended to throughout the time we were eating. Food served from the carts were fresh and delicious. I especially loved the shu mai and the stick rice in the lotus leaf(which I had for the first time). Well, I liked the rice enough for a few bites. I don’t think I can handle the whole thing. I don’t really remember what else we ordered because different family members kept on ordering different things and if you have 15 people ordering different things, it’s hard to keep track. The soup with the sizzling rice was good(don’t remember what it was). Overall, seems great for large parties. The restaurant definitely looks like it has seen better days though.

I’ve been here for lunch more than a few times and I’ll keep coming back. Dim sum lunch is at par with other similar places. Nothing is better or worse than the restaurants in Chinatown,(LA), Monterey Park or Alhambra. Décor is very nice. Service is pleasant. Basically you’ll get what you expect and that’s a great thing these days.

My friend had his wedding reception here in the upstairs dinning room. It was your typical chinese style type of banquet wedding dinner. I dont think the bartender was really prepared to serve a bunch of fraternity guys because right off the bat we started ordering shots of crown royal. We actually drank them dry and they had to go to a nearby grocery store in order to buy more. Our group got a little bit rowdy but the restaurant was cool about it. Probably the only damage that was done was to my friends windshield but that was his own fault. Anyways as other reviewers have said, this is a good place to have a wedding banquet, depending on the size of your party, this place could easily accomodate 100 or 200 guests. The food was good, we had the abalone, steamed fish, lobster, some kind of noodles, and a few other dished but I really couldnt remember much. Overall a good place for chinese seafood. Parking is limited but they do have underground parking so we didnt have any trouble finding a spot.

looking for a place to host your asian weddings! i think prince should be near the top of your list. i went to one recently and this place had a small dance floor. staff was nice, efficient, and not rude for being asian. they have one part of the restaurant where there is a bar and you can do an open bar. the bartender was asian. an old asian man! now that is rare! LOL the wedding i went to they did open bar and placed the candy bar, and a photo booth there. from what i heard i think it was like $ 800 a bucks a table and it comes with the food, soda, and alky. i usually hate asian weddings because the food sucks. at prince the food was more good than bad! there’s a private dining room which the bride was getting ready in and a small balcony upstairs. for a place to host an asian wedding i say 4 stars!

We came here for Dim Sum. Nothing to complain about! The prices here are much cheaper than in San Diego, so I’m happy with that. They also offered everything that a traditional Dim Sum place usually has, so we left happy, full and fat. It’s an Asian restaurant so what can you really expect of service? :)

Why do people still come here for dim sum? When my sister had suggested to take my mom, me and my aunt & her 2 friends visiting from Korean here to eat dim sum, I couldn’t understand why. Of all the places that serve dim sum why of all places would anyone in their right mind blow off LEGIT dim sum eateries for this place?! Apparently because this place has no wait and lower prices for the same thing. Err. let me clear these misunderstandings up a bit. No wait, yes there was no wait because it was deserted the dining area was pretty large yet only 5 tables were occupied during peak dim sum hours. This set off many loud, blaring red flags in my head. Dim sum, ordered shu mai, shrimp cheng fun, har gow and the sticky rice steamed in the lotus leaf. Quality and size were crap, I’d rather go to the deli side of Ten Ten where the steam trays have the not-so-fresh, dried out dim sum that’s like half off after 3:30(do they still do that?) Anyways to say the selection was lacking would be a total understatement. It would have been more worth the money, gas, time and stomach space to drive 13+ miles to go to a place over to SGV and having to wait more than 30 minutes than coming here. As for service, service was non-existent and when it was existent, it was better off being non-existent.

Fancy. Somewhat overkill for a 1-year-old’s birthday party, but I’m certainly not complaining, especially when I’m not paying. We ordered your typical family meal dishes, including but not limited to seafood soup, crab-smothered broccoli, whole roasted chicken, lobster, cold jellyfish and meats plate, fried fish in mushroom sauce, seafood noodle basket, and sauteed green beans(just to name a few). For a Chinese restaurant in Cerritos, this place was solid. Everything was seasoned just right. Plus, they definitely don’t skimp out on the seafood. The scallops, octopus, and lobster meat were all plentiful, as expected from a place with«seafood» in its name. Dessert consisted of coconut tapioca soup with taro chunks – heavy on the tapioca. Yum! The only downer was the servers, who quite obviously hated their jobs. I would, too, if I had to ladle bowl after bowl of soup and just stand around all day waiting on people. So if you’re looking for happy-go-lucky servers with personality(Mama D’s style), then you’re SOL here(and pretty much at any non-boba Asian establishment).

Went here for Mother’s Day. They seated 10GROUPS of people who showed up to the restaurant AFTER us before I decided to just take my grandma to eat at the BCD Tofu across the center. The service is the only reason why I’m giving it a low rating – I didn’t appreciate it. This comment probably isn’t helpful for their everyday business hours. Just don’t go here on Mother’s Day.

A little expensive for a Chinese restaurant, but worth it. The food is excellent, and the décor is something you would not see in a typical Chinese restaurant in the United States. There is a very high ceiling with plenty of chandeliers, mirrors on the walls, nice seats, etc. The waiters are very professional and courteous. Back to the food. They have all the typical items like hot-plate black pepper beef, seafood chow mein, etc. It also has its share of house specials, of which I find the lamb chops the best. All of it is cooked very well. If you’re looking for a great Chinese restaurant for any occasion, this is the place to be.

Just had my nieces first(one yr) birthday celebration here, serving about 150+ guests. My brother rented the 2nd floor which seats approximately 200 people. The food was good(we were starving) but the service was sub-par. I have to admit though, this is definitely a great venue for large impressive events. Everything looked clean and updated i.e., the paint, carpet, walls, bathrooms, they even have a koi fish pond inside the restaurant. The food was good, the service was acceptable and the venue was nice. I would recommend this spot for throwing large parties.

I was pretty disappointed coming here, maybe it was because my friend and I came a bit late(12:30ish) for brunch. The place is very nice and clean, but definitely has a small range of options. Only about 4 carts came around our corner. We got 4 dishes and ended up paying about $ 10/person, not cool. I’ve been to cheaper places and have gotten twice as much food for the same price and it was better tasting too! This place is definitely overrated, not worth the trip.

Oh. My. I came here for my grandma’s 90th(read: Chinese banquet, every animal on the farm, with the possibility of a few endangered ones). The food was phenomenal!!! Yes, it deserves five exclamation points. We started off with the appetizers: cold cuts, sauteed vegetables with chicken and scallops, and walnut shrimp. We moved onto shark fin soup, Peking duck, lobster, abalone and mushroom, obligatory noodles(to signify long life), and sauteed fish atop fried fish. The dessert was a taro tapioca and peach-shaped buns(sou tao) filled with lotus. Am I forgetting anything? Every dish was extremely fresh and delicious. I wanted to discuss standout dishes, but each dish exceeded my expectations. The sauteed vegetables were crisp and flavorful. The scallops were so tender. The lobster was ridiculously fresh. The Peking duck skin was so fatty and crunchy. Here’s hoping for another dinner, soon.

Darn my diet!!! The food is just too good here. I really had to dig deep to keep from over eating. First off, it’s been a long time since I’ve been to this place. Finally went here for Father’s Day for lunch. Great choice, Dad! Got there just in time to beat the big Sunday lunch crowd. No waiting for a seat. And that was around noon. Once seated, the cart servers quickly crowded our table with goodies. They were friendly and showed us all the different choices they had. We had a full table of food in less then a few minutes. Other dim sum places i’ve been to either had slow service and/or rude servers. This was not the case here at Prince. Overall, my family and I enjoyed the experience and the food. We’ll be back again soon. :) Currently dim sum is 20% off and is served everyday. yum!

If you can get past the deplorably unclean facilities, the food isn’t half bad. Food: I’ve been here more times than I can remember for various family events. The fact that both sides of my family seem to come here a lot says something about its authenticity. I’d say my favs are the minced squab with lettuce cups and any of the hot pots. During my most recent visit, I got to pig out on salty green beans, kung pao chicken, fried pork, fried fish, mayo shrimp with candied walnuts, corn egg soup, chow fun, and a hot pot dish(not pictured)( , ). Needless to say, this place packs variety. All of the dishes were pretty good and tasted like normal Cantonese food. Atmosphere: Woo boy. This place needs work. While the interior is enormous and looks like it was at one point a very classy joint, there are some major structural flaws. First off, we were in the restaurant while it was raining outside. Although we were seated on the first floor, the freaking ceiling was leaking. The solution? Put an old bucket under the leak to catch the water. Mind you, this was like smack in the middle of the seating area. Totally gross. There’s a giant atrium area on one side of the restaurant that is a bit nicer. Service: Learn some Cantonese before coming here. Well, I guess you don’t have to, but it’ll save you a lot of confusion. Dishes generally come out fast, but perhaps not in the most polite way(meaning your face might be in a waiters armpit as he serves soup). Synopsis: The food isn’t bad. I have some fond memories of eating the minced squab in lettuce cups here for the first time. They really need to clean this place up though.

Dim sum again at Prince Seafood this time with out of town friends. I still find the dim sum here so-so. The wrappers for the dumplings are soooooooo thick and too chewy. I hate that. However, their shu mai is still the best around. I like the ones here. Service is attentive, maybe sometimes too attentive with them hovering around all the time. But I’d rather that than no service whatsoever.
