House of Blends Barber Shop

Before I discovered LA’s Finest Barber Shop I was coming to House of Blends. The only reason why I stopped was because most of their appointments are done on a mobile application and its hard to find availability. I reconnected with Zeke recently since my barber at LA’s Finest wasn’t responding (very annoyed) and I have been going to him ever since.
Unlike most barbers I’ve experienced Zeke is very professional and takes his time with each appointment. I’ll continue to visit him weekly as long as nothing changes!

Made an appointment last min and they put me with Ryan. He asked me what kind of haircut I wanted, but I didn’t know. I mostly just told him a comb over and anything else because I didn’t know what I want. Didn’t give him much information, but he was able to pull it off. Love my haircut that he gave me and I would come back here again. Thanks Ryan!!!

I moved here from Houston, TX and only a handful of people have cut my hair. I was referred by a friend of mine to give this place a try. I set an appointment with Brandon Fades which is also the founder and owner of this establishment. I can honestly say I found my barber. Check them out!

I found this Barber shop on Unilocal and drove from Norwalk to Cerritos only to find out that they only accept appointments on Tuesday. Never heard of such a place that doesn’t take walk-​ins and besides there was a guy that had an empty chair and waiting so he could have cut my hair.
I wont be coming back here no more that’s for sure. This Barber Shop is great at loosing business for what I am now reading.

Having a barber shop in Cerritos was long overdue. Now having this barbershop with an app that lets you set your haircut appointment is in one word amazing. Now here is the kicker. The barbers do a great job of staying on schedule and keeping appointment times. I can’t say enough good things about this barber shop.

20 dollars yes dollars for a kids haircut and 25 for a man huh 45 Dollars and I expect they would expect a tip so what 50 for a haircut wtf this place has all these young fly too cool for you barbers seems like they don’t need anybodys business so avoid coming here

This place is awesome, it’s very clean and the ambiance is very welcoming… Ross is the best, we we’re late for our appointment but he still took us in. Thank you Ross!!!

Walked in & was greeted like I walked in on someone’s meeting I wasn’t invited to. «Do you have an appointment?». Uhh… «No?»… «We’re running by appointment only today.» Nice way to run a business.

Made a appointment last minute and was greeted by Ryan. Then another barber proceeded to help and Ryan was ok because he had another appointment at 5 and didn’t want me waiting to long, so I agreed. I don’t remember the barber name he’s new 6months at the back by the break room near the sink. He did nice azz job. Took time and listen to what I wanted and delivered. Got my Beard looking right. Competitive prices but good polite service. They do walk ins but best to try and make an appointment.

My barber is always bullshitting in the break room, doing only God knows what; he is never prompt. They repeatedly stress the need for appointments, note on the wall asking clients to show up at least five minutes early on to wait on the bench and sit around. They make their phone numbers available both in-​shop and on their social networks, in order to contact them ahead of time or the day of. However, it is of no use when they don’t so much as bother to respond their messages. I am writing this in my car, ready to head back home, as the barber I booked an appointment with just accepted a walk-​in client right before my eyes as I was waiting. I’m done with this company.
*Sidenote: If you’re not one of their boys — buddies, hombres, friends or what have you, expect to be treated like a second class citizen around here.

Very pleased with our hair cuts/​fades. Drew keep doing his magic. He was able to get Jr done, before his next appointment. We did not have a appointment for him. But he was willing to give it a try and get it done. He did not disappoint the fade was great just like in the pass.
Our apologies for the magazine my son did a little re arranging. Great group of guys never did I get a complain about his organization of the mag. Even though I did tell my son to stop in several occasions. But he’s a 2 year old. So we all know how that goes. I can’t be any happier that we found this place so close to home.

Someone recommended I try out the place and I wasn’t disappointed. I walked in without an appointment and luckily Ryan was able to take me.
I know a lot of people are complaining about the walk-​in situation but I would recommend making an appointment. Any quality place will be on an appointment base only. If you want a fast, take what you get cut there are plenty of places around and I’m sure you’ll be disappointed.
The place is very clean and friendly. They take the extra time to provide excellent service and cuts.
I haven’t received a quality haircut in quite a while — high and tight. Great job Ryan.

I was pretty disappointed here. First of all, their Unilocal says «walk-​ins welcome» and I walked in and they said appointment-​only. Second of all, when I walked in no one knew how to react to a girl in their precious man-​cave and stood their sort of gawking at me. I felt really uncomfortable until one of the barbers spoke up. I didn’t get greeted politely like I thought I would be; instead j got this weird look and a confused «can I help you?» I told them that I needed to get my undercut done and they immediately told me I needed an appointment. Fine. But the Unilocal should at least be updated. I wasn’t told how to make and appointment or offered to make one there on the spot. It was a full house, so I’m sure the cuts are great; especially judging by the previous comments but my high expectations were severely shot down. I won’t be making an appointment to come back.

I’ve been going to Blends a little more than a year now. All the staff are friendly. We all look for consistency in our lives. Manny has cut my hair from day 1 (he always did a great job) and since he left, Jeff has been cutting my hair, and it’s been straight up consistent.
Call in for appointment or book a cut online. Very easy. 5+ stars. =)

Terrible service. Just moved back home to Cali from Seattle and a friend told me that this is the only spot I’d want to get my hair cut in all of LA. FALSE. I was told, and the website says, walk ins welcome’. So my 10 year old son and I walk in expecting a cut. 3 barbers are sitting around watching a game on tv, not cutting hair, not doing anything, and the head barber tells me «appointments only.» Wow. This place is getting a lot of publicity via word Of mouth and Social media. Please believe that I’ll do my own part in spreading the word to not waste your time going to this place. It’s a shame too, my son was excited.

Says open 9am-​7pm. Walked in at 3 pm just to be turned away.
Something about young lazy barbers I can’t stand. Oh well, I definitely will not be coming back.
The hype isn’t all that it is. I’m certain a lot of the «great reviews» here are from friends and family.

Walked in on a tuesday around 4pm. They seated me within a few minutes.
I haven’t been to a barber in over a year, so I wasn’t sure how consistent I wanted to be going to a barber.
Everyone was very professional and made to interact with everyone who came in.
Marcus is the one who cut my hair and did a great job.

I’ve been coming to this barbershop since it opened in December 2013. Best barbershop in the Cerritos/​Artesia area.
BrandonFades is my barber. I have also cut my hair with Manny in the past. Both are very good barbers. Matter fact, they’re all skilled barbers, all 4 of them, Brandon, Manny, Marcus and Drew. Whether it’s a razor fade, taper, mohawk, lineup, or just a beard trim, they will get the job done.
Good atmosphere and good vibes at the shop. Funny conversations. Good music playing all the time. Shop is always clean and plenty of parking. I highly recommend this shop to anybody in the area and anybody looking for a good clean quality cut. Credit cards are also accepted!
I mention this because in the past, old barbershops would require me to stop by the bank before going because they only take cash, and then I had to park on the street, far away from the shop, very inconvenient.

I can describe this group of 4 barbers in just 4 words! Skilled, humble, young and hungry! I recently moved to Southern California from the east coast and found myself in need of a solid barber. These guys definitely deliver in terms of quality of cut, cleanliness/​shop upkeep and genuine friendliness/​customer service. I’ve seen them cut both adults and children here (Parents: Just be mindful that although kid friendly there may be music for mature audiences playing). Another great thing about this place is that they now accept both card and cash (Prices are listed on the wall).
I’ve personally had excellent cuts by Manny and most recently by Marcus (Beast. Check my uploaded pics), but I would honestly trust anyone there to deliver a solid cut. Call and book an appointment or walk in unannounced. Either way be on the lookout for this spot. These boys are on the come up!
