had my wisdom tooth surgery here, which went fine. i was told i would only have to pay $ 125 upfront. after one year and a half, i receive a surprise in the mail for a bill for $ 1200. i call them, and they tell me they’ve made some adjustments and reviewed payments from my insurance and now my balance is~$ 379. when i call to make the payment since it appears that there has been miscommunication between my insurance company and the dental office, now the bill has magically changed to almost ~$ 500. beware and expect extra charges. it has been over a year since i’ve had the procedure and am still receiving bills for something that was not supposed to cost me more than the money i had already paid upfront…

I will leave others to judge Dr. Gorospe’s skill as a surgeon. This review is for their billing practices… fraudulent, unprofessional and unethical. Whether Dr. Gorospe has knowledge of this or not, the issue remains… BEWARE…there are severe deficiencies in the way they handle patient reimbursements (incompetent staff or Dr.‘s orders?). They knew I had insurance, yet they failed to get authorizations by the time of my appointment, hence, giving me a higher price than the negotiated (Delta) insurance rate and demanding that I pay upfront, promising that they will reimburse me. In good faith, I paid them upfront… what a big mistake… After my insurance paid them, the office would not send me the back the money the owed me for over payment… I called the office every week, and they kept giving me lies and excuses… it was very frustrating to have to call them for money they owed me. It has been over one month since my insurance paid them — yet, they still have not returned my money. This is not an isolated incident… note other reviewer’s comments about their billing practices.

1 day post surgery and I’m feeling pretty awesome. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed and elected for local anesthesia, so I know exactly what goes down. I don’t even need my pain meds! All of the staff are friendly, informative, and respectful. They were very thorough and efficient. I had no problems with insurance and was given a breakdown of costs upfront. They also offered me a reimbursement if insurance overpaid, which was definitely something that wasn’t offered at other oral surgery clinics I inquired from. During surgery, Dr. Gorospe was very swift without failing to be precise, considerate, and gentle. The surgery was completely painless (although I would recommend going to sleep for anyone considering local anesthesia– It isn’t for everyone). I can tell Dr. Gorospe cares about his patients and takes his work very seriously. Thank you Dr. Gorospe and team!

Great doctor! Never had a dr take care for his patient as much as he did. Had a procedure done completely painless and he is always asking if I feel alright during the surgery. Definitely Recommend Dr. Dennis. Thanks Doctor!

Dr. Gorospe himself is fine. He came in an emergency room on a holiday weekend to suture my daughter’s gum, as the doctors at the ER felt it needed the attention of an oral surgeon/​dentist. Great, he comes in, does a fine job (not perfect, but a hanging piece of gum would be hard to do perfectly). We follow up a day or two later for this dental emergency. Office visit is fine. She recovers.
OVER A YEAR LATER we get a bill for over $ 1000. My insurance won’t pay. I call, and my insurance has no record of it ever being billed. Turns out they tried to get my regular dental insurance to pay, and used codes to make it look like a regular office visit. I take my kids to the dentist every 6 months, so the «regular» office visit got rejected, and they didn’t bill my medical insurance for the ER visit. So they re-​submit the claim, but since they too so long, it’s now been over a year, so the insurance rejects it because it’s past the time limit. The office billing person (can’t recall her name) asks me to fill out paperwork asking the insurance company to consider the claim but twice she claims she emailed me the forms, but I never got them. Plus why should I have to do anything for their failure to properly submit forms. I offer to pay the 20% that I know my insurance would have required, but she says no that’s not acceptable. I don’t hear anything for a long time. So now it’s been THREE years and I just got the bill for the same original amount. Really!!! I feel sorry for Dr. Gorospe as his staff has probably cost him reimbursements from insurance in other cases. Just beware if it’s a big procedure, and pay attention to if they file the claim in a timely manner. Dr. Gorospe, thank you for the care of my daughter but you may want to train your staff on how to file non-​dental claims appropriately.

Was in extreme pain and they took me in the same day for wisdom teeth extraction. The entire staff was very professional and polite. They were very thorough on explaining what the problem was, the procedure to be performed and my options. I didn’t have insurance, but I think the prices were very reasonable for removing all four teeth, anasthesia and no extra charge for emergency surgery. The procedure was fast and they were very detailed on how to care after surgery and also provided an emergency number to reach the doctor at anytime after hours, should complications occurred. Definitely recommend them.

This is my second main procedure here and the staff has always been kind and caring. Dr Gorospe is informative and breaks down the info of what will be done and how it will be done. Great office staff! Nice.

My father who is 95 years old was referred to Dr. Gorospe by my brother in law.
Dr. Gorospe did a very difficult wisdom tooth extraction for my father with such ease and proficiency. Not only my father was treated with such kindness and respect as he is a physician himself, he went home happy with no pain and no discomfort at all. Since then we have gone back for many extractions and Dr. Gorospe has taken great care of my father to prepare him for his dentures. Our family truly feels indebt to his skillful treatment which has truly been priceless. His staff and nurse assistants are always super kind and professional. You are in GREAT hands with Dr. Gorospe. He is also extremely patient and a true gentle man.

I was referred to Dr. Gorospe by my dad’s dentist and do not regret it. His team is absolutely amazing and they really take care of you. I’ve hear horror stories about wisdom teeth extraction, so of course I was worried about the procedure. I came in yesterday for the surgery, and the nurses did not release me until they knew I was fully ready to walk to the car with their assistance along with my mom. I went with the general anesthesia as I was getting all 4 removed. The procedure took about 45 minutes to an hour, but it seemed to go by so fast I wasn’t even sure when I knocked out! I just remember waking up to the nurses and doctor putting gauze in my mouth lol. Another tip I have for a fast recovery is to ice on and off for 24 hours! I only took the prescribed pain medication medication yesterday and no longer need it today. I’m not using OTC Advil which also works fine for pain! And it’s not really pains but more so the feeling of being uncomfortable. Definitely recommend Dr. Gorospe, gentle and quick extractions with little pain!

Called two weeks before consultation appointment for wisdom teeth extraction and was told price is $ 90. I have Delta Dental PPO High and I’m covered for 2 consultations a year. After my consultation, here, I was charged $ 195… Dr. Kaminishi charges $ 60 for consultations. I didn’t pay out of pocket for D0150 consultation but the amount was taken off my coverage amount causing me to charged more for the actual extraction procedure.

Staff is very sweet and informative. Have feature to do new patient paperwork online making appointments very easy and simple.
Experience
I love that this place is very modernized and updated with online patient paperwork including state of the art X-​ray equipments. Price really threw me off especially when I called in for a price and was charged significantly different about 47% more! I should’ve just stuck with my dentist’s referral for Dr. Kaminishi.

After researching and visiting different surgeons to have my dental implant done. I decided to have it done through Dr. Dennis Gorospe as he came recommended from friends and highly praised for his skills and experience. I was absolutely impressed with his knowledge and explanation of the procedure, the technology of the equipment used and his ability to make me feel completely at ease for a procedure that would have otherwise scared the $hit out of me. This kind of service is priceless and I would not trust my pearlie whites to anyone else!

Best experience for my teeth ever. Very professional and thorough. High tech orientation before the procedure so I knew what to expect the day of the procedure. Gentle and quick wisdom teeth extraction. Highly recommend.

Got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled here and recovered without much pain. A little uncomfortable but hardly any pain.

Fast Procedure the Doctor and ALL the staff where very nice and helpful. I was nervous about removing wisdom teeth. They made me comfortable and it was painless. I chose the general Anastasia but i think i would just do it with Nos and local Novocaine if I had to do it again.

Had a surgical extraction here today and things went just about as smoothly as anyone could hope for. The process itself only took about 30 – 45 seconds which was pretty surprising to me. I had a major cavity on my rear left wisdom tooth and he took care of it with ease. He could probably stand to use a lesson in gentle care but really, the price of not having to worry about the tooth any longer was more than enough for the few seconds of pain I had to deal with. It wasn’t any pain with the actual extraction, just the initial prep work and local anesthesia that he put in. Felt like he was cutting into my face.
It’s unfortunate that other folks had issues with Dr. Gorospe as he seems to be a very well educated doctor with good intentions. I had dental coverage through my employer (HumanaDental) so the damage wasn’t too bad. I was originally quoted $ 350 for the extraction but ended up only having to worry about half.
Not bad, and he’s local so I didn’t have to drive far. The only annoying thing about going here is the online forms you may have to fill out. The website allows you to pre-​register if you’re a first time patient and boy is it a hassle to fill out.

I visited with my wife for a consultation for extraction. After dealing with two different techs for gathering basic information, the doctor discussed procedures and possibilities, etc. fairly clearly. We then had FOUR technicians rotating in and out of the room.
One of the technicians kept looking at my wife’s referral sheet, then left the room, then would come back to look again! She finally took the paperwork away for a while, but when she came back she threw it on the table as if she were disgusted with the paper for trying to play tricks on her memory.
I was quoted three different times after a I noticed a discrepancy on the first quote. At this point, my wife and I were fed up and just wanted to leave. If the technicians were this terrible and incompetent, my wife didn’t want to find out if the doctor was as bad.
I hope we caught them on a bad day.

My experience with Dr. Gorospe was fine, although he was unable to help me with my problem. However, his staff is totally incompetent! I needed dental x-​rays while I was pregnant, and the tech took 3 tries before they got some decent films! They asked me to pay for my appointment upfront, and they would reimbursement if insurance ended up paying. They said they’d be able to return my money in a week or so, but it took me a month to get it! Everytime I called, they said it’s being put in the mail that day. Would not recommend.

He took out my wisdom teeth too but he said he made my mouth smaller! I woke up with bloody tissues in my mouth and numb lips as we were walking to the car. Afterwards my muscles were so stiff I had to eat mashed potatoes for a week before I could graduate to swallowing baked beans. My friend used a different practice but recovered in less than a week. At least I didn’t have a sore throat or bruising.
I don’t recommend him to my boyfriend. I had a secondary infection that they didn’t believe until they saw half my face swell so I looked like a chipmunk. When I wasn’t rinsing my mouth with saltwater, I lived in bed with ice packs and a diet of antibiotics + sweet sweet vicodin. The sutures dissolve. This dental surgeon won’t accept payment on a installment plan.
