Cerritos College Strawberry Field

Strawberries are incredibly sweet. BUT.,.
They’re not called Cerritos College. Rather its Marnassco’s or some spelling of that sorts. No more picking on your own. Just a produce stand with of course strawberries, and some other fruits… mango, blueberries, avocados, etc. it’s pretty pricey too. $ 11 for a 3 pack of strawberries, $ 4 for a pint. You can probably get it for cheaper at your weekly farmers market.
We really wanted to go strawberry picking. I guess we’ll just have to trek out to Tanaka Farms in Irvine instead (or go to my store for less labor intensive strawberry needs).

Strawberry season is in a couple of months but I am already thinking of when I used to buy a basket or flat after school to take to my boyfriend’s house. His mother doesn’t like them/​is allergic but she ate them anyway. Its just a stand in front of the field owned by the community college but I couldn’t find a formal name for the farm. Most of the time I didn’t need sugar. The fruit here is large and ripe red.
