We always like to try some place new, so when we were in Huntington I used Unilocal to find a ice cream place! So glad we did! Delicious, friendly people! We will for sure go back! I had the PB Cup and Kalluha Crunch! Both were fabulous!

We tried the lemon curd and the cinnamon. Neither were my favorite but my husband gobbled them both down. It’s possible I just didn’t like those flavors. I also tried the peanut butter chocolate, which normally I would love, but it just tasted off to me. I’m not sure if it was because it was too sweet or if I’m used to ice cream with no artificial flavoring(although since they claim to be home churned ice cream I thought it would be real ingredients. after tasting it I think I was wrong). They were packed but we didn’t wait long, and the girl who took our order was very friendly.

Best ice cream and other frozen goodies in the tri state, parking is decent if you can get there at the right time of day, by which I mean afternoon.

Sometimes when I go through the drive-through with my dog they will give him a free sample of ice cream. I really love the staff — they are perpetually the happiest people ever. Oh, and the ice cream has some great, unique flavors. One of the best in the state.

Delicious ice cream from a local independently owned long time business. I was in Huntington, WV on work travel and heard great things about Austin’s. The ice cream was delicious, creamy, and had a large selection of flavors. I’d rather support a locally owned small business than a corporate chain any day, and Austin’s was well worth the drive from Huntington. I had the chocolate peanut butter and cinnamon and only wish I was in town longer so I could visit again!

This is a locally owned Ice Cream place. We went there because our relatives in Kentucky took us there for ice cream one evening. Their recommendation was for the Grape/Pineapple ice cream. Odd sounding mix but it was extremely good. About the place, It is just a drive up place along the road. There is parking out front along with a few tables. Parking could get challenging but when we got there there was a few places open. I understand people may have to wait to park or park off site and walk in. The ice cream is that good. Stand in line to order and wait for your order to be announced. We ate in the car and enjoyed every bite. Just wish I lived closer so I could try other flavors. Oh forgot to say but all their ice cream is made on site. This is a place that would be worth going out of your way to visit.

Authethic Tri-State summer spot… Just the parking is a problem here… the service and all the cool treats are great. Being a west end kid, you had two places where you could go for ice cream: Broughton’s(long gone) and Austin’s. Same great ice cream choices as always… stop in.

This is a popular local ice cream place. I concur about the traffic problems but I usually go when it isn’t so busy. I like the hot fudge sunday.

I love this place. It is one of few places that I can find bubble gum ice cream! It is just simply the most perfect place ever to go on a warm summer night – if you can find a parking spot. Which leads me to the first problem: PARKING! If you are lucky enough to find a parking spot, you’ll eventually have to back out of that spot onto busy Route 60, which is never a fun time. Additionally, they don’t accept cards. As of this past week they will supposedly be accepting credit and debit cards in the near future though. But don’t think about having to back out and bring a few dollars cash. Enjoy some of the best ice cream you’ll find in the Tri-State.

Ahhh, childhood on a cone. This is one of your local dairy-freeze establishments – the kind your parents went to, and your children will go to. They offer standard dairy fare: ice cream, soft serve, milkshakes, «blizzard-like» flurries, and a grill menu. The ice cream flavors are all homemade, and extensive. On warm summer evenings in Ceredo-Kenova, a trip to Austin’s is mandatory, and it’s not uncommon to struggle finding a parking spot. I stopped by this summer for the first time in five years. Unfortunately, my tastes have evolved faster than their menu. The ice cream i enjoyed as a child now tastes like cheap pudding mix. Call it being spoiled, but after living in Europe it’s hard to argue that better ice cream doesn’t exist. However, Austin’s is more than ice cream to me. It’s a moment in time, a fleeting memory of an easier life; of those loved and lost. So, no matter what flavor you get, and even if it’s just so-so, the experience is priceless.
