Bay Springs Motel

My family and I live in Huntsville, AL, and 2 years ago, we discovered Weiss Lake and fell in love with it.
Within a month, we had bought a Camper and found a Campground (over in Leesburg) to park it permanently on, but the local co-​op Power Company couldn’t get the power on for a day or so.
So, we looked for somewhere to stay here locally in Cherokee county for a night or two.
The other accommodations in town did not seem AT ALL favorable, and had us kind of worried, so we decided to give Bay Springs Motel/​Marina a shot, based on a some good reviews on some other websites.
(There really are NOT a ton of reviews on local motels in Cherokee County, so it can be a little intimidating, if you are from out of town, and find yourself in this type of situation!)
All I can tell you is THIS:
We have stayed in a TON of 5-​Star Hotels, and of course did not expect anything near that Quality in a small town…
But, we were SO SURPRISED.
I can tell you that I have NEVER seen such a spotless room, nor such attention to detail, nor such a wonderful Check-​in as we received by Ms Terri…
This place is TRULY a hidden Gem.
We have since been back a 2^nd time (when our Camper had a plumbing leak, and we needed a place to stay quickly…)
She and her son, Darcy, both live on premises and are there for ANYTHING that you need.
I genuinely wish that more Hotels and Motels were more attentive to detail like this, and gave this kind of genuine, locally-​owned, and TRUE hospitality.
Do NOT hesitate to stay here.
I would give this Motel 6-​Stars, but it only allows me FIVE. ;)
Truly a great place.
