We hesitated to go here after reading some reviews. In the end we were tired and lazy and we didn’t want to load the kids into the car. We were pleasantly surprised. Our two kids each ordered tacos off the kids menu. It was build your own so they got to «make» their taco and pick their toppings. It was a great kids menu item. I got ribs and they were good! $ 16 for an order of ribs might be a little high, but not full on resort pricing. 5 stars for really good food and exceeding our expectations.

I just had the worst dinning experience at The Lodge restaurant. Every single aspect of our evening was awful and it really ruined our entire evening. We put our name in at 7:14pm after being told it would be a 25 – 30 minute wait, had I known it would be at least a 45 minute wait we would have gone somewhere else. We understand being busy but we had hungry kids and after-​dinner plans. We were seated a little after 8pm and ordered. For the next hour we were mostly ignored. Our waitress didn’t offer more water or drinks more than once and we actually had to flag her down and ask for refills. Our entire family was exhausted, uncomfortable, and bored at this point. We wished we had brought the deck of cards from our room. We had planned to have an evening of games after dinner but instead we spent our evening waiting waiting waiting and then waiting waiting and waiting some more. Finally after a full hour we asked about our food and we were told it would be another 10 minutes. We were ready to just leave but we had tired hungy kids who needed to eat. Our waitress offered bread and butter — which was just cold, hard, dry rolls. Finally the food came and I was extremely underwhelmed. We had waited 2 hours for this?! The kids had Mac and cheese that wasn’t anything special, the pasta was unremarkable and the barbecue platter was partially inedible (the brisket slices resembled beef jerky). We asked for a couple of boxes, twice, and the waitress came back with only one small box. Finally at 9:30 we dragged ourselves back to the room and called it a night. This was our one and only evening to spend together on this trip and this experience RUINED our evening!

Not sure why other reviews where so negative but just had the char grilled chicken with roasted brussels and it was delicious. Service was great and everyone was friendly. Seems like to many negative unhappy people spend there time complaining on Unilocal

Overpriced for bland food. My family and I ate here last night and it was disappointing… We were all so hungry so we decided to eat here and the service was so slow. 40 mins for our food to come out when the place wasn’t even packed? Ordered the mushroom pasta and substituted it with white wine sauce, and wow. Never had pasta so flavorless… We also ordered rib eye steak and the meat tasted literally like a mc double burger from mc. Donald’s. Such cheap quality of meat, I couldn’t understand how that cost 30+ for a thin meat… Really really bland food here, do not recommend going here.

Ordered 4 different things.
The good:
Mac and cheese had really good flavor
Grilled sausage on the backyard platter was cooked well
The bad:
Price for product. Yes I understand the premium price for a resort restaurant but then expect decent food and service to match.
My wife had Mahi Mahi which had a huge chunk (close to half the piece) of blood line which she found quite unappetizing.
The fish came on a huge bed of rice and a piece of lettuce topped with a grilled lemon slice. The menu stated grilled seasonal vegetables which were nowhere in sight.
My son ordered grilled chicken with spinach and mashed potatoes. The chicken half was about the size of a normal drumstick. Wouldn’t look so small except it was set in a monstrous pile of gummy mashed potatoes. He said the chicken was very dry and so so flavor. He didn’t eat much of the potato due to the very dense gummy nature.
Other son had Mac and cheese which was tasty. Hence 2 stars instead of 1.
Backyard platter contained the worst corn bread I have tasted. The texture was also very odd for corn bread. Ribs were ok and dry rub chicken wings were ok.
The server seemed very lackluster/​bored.
Food prep time seemed longer than necessary.
For $ 100 meal I expect much more in food and/​or service.

We loved everything we had. Our two 8 year olds ordered the baked potato from the regular menu and our 16 year old cheeseburger connoisseur ranked the cheeseburger as a 4.5 on a scale of 1 – 5. My Fargo and shrimp salad included the best shrimp I’ve ever had, although not nearly enough to for this farro loving chick. I would have loved to sample my husbands rib plate, but he inhaled it before anyone could get a bite… I guess that means it was good!
I expected to cringe when I saw prizes on the menu, but everything was incredibly reasonable.
My beer was fantastic and I got the second one to go!!!

This is a new restaurant that has opened up in an older restaurant’s location. The menu pricing is what you would expect from this location-​resort pricing. The server we had just seemed like he was clueless. the food was decent. The kids grilled cheese was not a typical grilled cheese and therefore tasted strange to my 7 year old. She also wishes there had been more side options available instead of fries or carrot and celery sticks.
