Stopped in today for a piece of carrot cake to go. I’m super sad that I said I would share it with my partner, because it was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had, and I’m seriously bummed that I only got half of a piece! I’ll definitely be back.. .probably tomorrow ;) Oh, and bonus points for no raisins. I can’t stand those little effers.

I just discovered this place — and MAN I WISH I WOULD HAVE SOONER!
I have been there 3 times in the past week and a half and have enjoyed every single thing I have had. I could go broke eating here. I can’t wait to work my way through the menu. So many great choices — and not just run of the mill items. You can tell that whoever created the menu has some culinary experience and cares about making the menu exciting with fresh and flavorful foods.
The prices are definitely on the high side for lunches in the area but it will be a great place to stop every once in awhile.
Always very nice, friendly, and efficient workers.
Lewis County is lucky to have this awesome little eatery.
They have Unilocal check in offers and free wifi too.

Wow, great food! We are driving around Washington and found this restaurant based on good Unilocal reviews. It did not disappoint! My husband had the Bleu Buffalo sandwich and I had the Southwestern Chicken Salad. My husband loved his sandwich and my salad was excellent — so fresh with a light dressing that did not overpower. Do not forget dessert, the sweets all looked amazing! I opted for a slice of white cake with coconut frosting. Slice was huge, cake was marvelous. Service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely recommend!

I found this place quite by accident, and what a fortuitous accident! The décor is simple and clean and very appealing. The service was good and the food was fantastic! The potato salad was tasty and the turkey, bacon, and pepper jack hot sandwich was excellent! I’m not a huge fan of sandwiches in general, so this is a huge compliment. I will definitely be back. I only wish I lived closer!

Simple. Elegant. Quaint. Amazing service. Great food. We had the panini grown up grilled cheese sandwich. Delicious! The orange cranberry cinnamon roll was so good. I will return soon for that piece of carrot cake that was calling my name.

The cinnamon rolls really are amazing! They were fresh out of the oven, melt in your mouth soft, and covered in gooey icing. The bakery is adorable and the staff is friendly. There is plenty of space for larger groups to sit. I had lots of room to park our stroller next to our table with out being in anyone’s way– usually a challenge most other places. A stop in a Dawn’s is going to be routine for our family from now on when downtown!

I actually liked this place — surprise. If I have to find fault — I do not care for the orange colors used in the bathrooms — but I guess their Mom does so. :)
They are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was nice (not Christmas with no Christmas music) but still nice.
My wife and I split the Rueben sandwich and it also was a success — no questions as to how to make it — they made the traditional Rueben. My wife also liked the bread pudding and our adult son was under orders to bring a dessert home to his wife since she like the place but could not join us.
I will stop again next time I am in town at lunch time.

Awesome food… Period. If you’re in town and don’t eat here you made a big mistake. EVERYTHING they make feels like your mamma made it. I wish they were located in Vancouver.

I have nothing negative to say… the warm brick interior is enhanced by natural wood tables, hardwood floors, antique accents and music softly playing in the background… and I haven’t even gotten into the food! The Figgy Piggy was stacked high with thinly sliced ham, topped with a sliver of cheese, sweetened with fig jam and given a bit of a bite with red onion… sandwiched between grilled Kalama sourdough. Sublime. The «turkey and provolone» is elevated with a pesto aioli and flaky crescent… garnished with bib lettuce and freshly sliced tomato. The side? The very best homemade potato salad I’ve ever tasted… outside of my own family recipe, of course! So good, it could have been dessert. We live over an hour away from here and will gladly make the drive to get back here again. Can’t wait to try their Italian cream cake!

Had lunch here with a friend and it was ok. Had tuna sandwich and soup. Both were very bland. Do they know what spices are? And I felt it was a little over priced. On the positive side I had a piece of carrot cake and it was great — again a little pricey. This is Centralia not Seattle Dawn. Overall I think they should stick to desserts only and re look at their prices to reflect the area they live in.

Dawn’s has great sandwiches, soups, and above all.. . sweets. The food is fresh and has a home cooked comfort food feel to it. You can’t go wrong with any of the lunch options. I am partial to the chicken salad sandwich and clam chowder. In addition, and this is a big ADDITION, the sweets. My favorite is the cinnamon bread pudding. It is absolutely amazing.
If you are visiting Centralia or passing through on your way to Seattle or Portland, bypass all the fast food, because you can’t go wrong eating at this treasure in historic downtown Centralia.

We drop in occasionally for ice cream. My daughters love it and always bring a friend. The warm welcome and friendly service keeps us coming back.

Had Dawn’s delicious chicken salad on a croissant with her homemade chicken noodle soup. The chicken was heaped on… no scimmping. I took a chocolate cupcake home. The cupcake was expensive and just ‘o.k.’. I’ll go back.

Cute and spacious sandwich shop in between antique shops. Happened to drop in for a cup of joe and the menu looked appetizing, I ordered the tuna melt on whole grain and now whenever I’m in this town, it’s what I always get. I attempted getting the turkey Blt for the bf but while driving to pick him up my lab opened the bag and ate it. He was licking his chops. Both sandwiches seemed to be a delightful.

The cake tasted homemade, very moist and dense. I had the strawberry cream cake and it actually had some fresh strawberries!
My wife had the grown-​up grilled cheese and she enjoyed it a lot.
The prices were okay, not the cheapest place in Centralia but they seem to be using good ingredients.
Atmosphere is pretty laid back, it’s a good place to chill in the middle of an antique expedition. The servers were pleasant and checked in to make sure we were happy with our meal.

Sandwiches are amazing, potato salad is amazing, handscooped ice cream, soup is home made and fantastic, smoothies are great. People are kind and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly. You won’t be disappointed. Go here!
