After our wait of about 20 minutes our service was FAST and amazing! Food was good I really enjoyed the outside dinning.

Great food and excellent service. We were seated in less time than anticipated. Fresh perch dinner was fantastic. Our waitress was super friendly. Scenery is awesome

Not real busy of a night as it was race night at the Brewerton Speedway. We weren’t greeted upon entering, and it took several minutes for the server to come to the table. I had to order my drink at the bar b/c we thought maybe they had no table service at 930 on a Friday. When the server did show up she was very cordial and you knew she wasn’t used to serving at a bar when I told her that the two bourbon’s hadn’t been paid for yet and she replied what’s Bourbon… I said Maker’s Mark is bourbon and that’s what we have, hahaha. My brother and I both ordered the Chicken, Jalapeño and Siracha quesadilla. It was very good and very spicy, we had to wash it down with a side of coca cola. The bar is on the river and the outside definitely smelled of Lake fish… glad we didn’t sit on the patio that night. I could of swore they served some bar food like peanuts or pretzels but we didn’t get any of that… maybe they don’t do that anymore, been quite awhile since I was their last. Probably would go back if I happened to be out that way, but wouldn’t necessarily drive out their special to go there.

Very good wings, everything else average. We has haddock sandwiches, a perch dinner and a pulled pork sandwich. With tip, $ 80, which we thought was pricey for what the place is. Only one drink ordered as well. The $ 2 side of salt potatoes consisted of 2 potatoes. It is what it is, a place for boaters to dock and have a bite. Nice deck and scenery once the dock construction is done, but I wouldn’t go just for the food.

Yuck! This place smells like a frat house on Sunday morning, even outside! The view was crappy because there were several bulldozers working right next to the deck. The lettuce was limp, the steak was really chewy and the fish tasted funny. The flies were the only ones loving our food. The waitresses were friendly, but the service was spotty. If you’re looking for a place to Whoop it up on Saturday night with cheap drinks in plastic cups, this is it. But, if you’re looking for a decent meal at any other time… this is definitely NOT it!

We wanted to eat outside, got there later than we wanted. No one greeted as we Walked in. Had to walk around the bar and find someone. We then waited at the«hostess» stand. We were finally greeted and then sat at a table. The bugs, after the sun went down were unbearable, so much so we had to just move inside. Nothing to prevent the bugs. After we moved inside we got our food. The crab cakes were cold and had to be re heated. The fries soft, soggy and cold. The BBQ beans were cool. The mushroom cheeseburger, had barely any cheese and had very little mushrooms. Utica greens were burned. Charcoal garlic toast came with it. YUMM! The soup was good. When we went to say something to the server, she responded«here’s my manager» the«manager» barely let us get a word out and responded«ok, I’ll take it off the bill.» The I’m sorry was after the fact. The server didn’t even ask can we get anyone more drinks or anything. Just a very below average experience.

Excellent place to stop! Don’t let previous reviews deter you. We were traveling from out of town and stopped here for dinner. I was a little hesitant based on some of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Great food, good service, friendly staff, and excellent outdoor seating by the water. We got our meals in a timely manner enough though it was prime dinner time. I would recommend any of their burgers and the lobster bisque. There was also awesome live music playing outside. Not too loud and very talented. I would definitely come back here!

Nice bar, but don’t go there for the food it’s just ok at best. We ordered chicken strips one time the came out still frozen inside. It’s loud and way too many drinkers for a nice night out

I hate when my fellow Unilocalers don’t know HOW to rate restaurants. Let’s be honest, you can tell a place when you walk in, right? Let’s say restaurants reviewed patrons: a candlelit, white linen tablecloth, wine by the bottle restaurant sees a jean and tshirt clad couple walk in. Let’s hope the couple thinks«well, shoot. we should save this for a fancy night». Not the other way around? This place has outdoor seating, a wide variety of alcohol, and a nice selection of American cuisine food. If that’s what you’re looking for, go. If you want something fancy, look up fancy.

Yesterday; a gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon in Syracuse. My wife and I put the top down on the convertible and took a spin. I suggested the Waterfront Tavern on the river in Brewerton. We chose to sit outside in one of the covered seating areas. The beer was cold and wet. She ordered the lobster bisque as a starter and I had a half dozen raw oysters. The bisque was really good and the oysters were as good as any I’ve had anywhere, although I’m not sure what variety they were, they were medium size with a sweet briny flavor. For an entrée we decided on a half rack of St. Louis style ribs. These were a bit of a disappointment. They were a bit greasy and a tad overcooked. The membrane hadn’t been removed from the back side and they were over sauced. My own home smoked ribs are by far better. These days with so many good Q joints around, anyone offering ribs on the menu has to step up. Another beer for dessert and we were on our way. All in all a nice lunch on a nice afternoon. I’ll go back for sure but next time I’ll get the perch sammie!

Went there for dinner with my boyfriend and best friend. We were very confused as to where the actual hostess was located. We found one outside and said there was going to be a wait and that there were three people ahead of us. That was fine but there were over ten open tables on the outdoor patio. We chose to sit inside. Service was okay nothing spectacular. My boyfriend and I ordered the steak salad. We requested the steak be cooked medium rare. The waitress said their policy is medium. Fine. Our food was put into the table and both our steaks were cooked well done to overly cooked. We both asked for additional Cesar dressing to douse the steak in. Nothing could help the leather that was put on our plates. Not sure if I would return again for an over priced salad that wasn’t cooked to my liking.

Summer 2013 — Seating was difficult at best on a Monday night as we were left standing in the middle of the deck waiting for the hostess to ask if we could sit in the sun as there are designated tables for larger parties(1 more chair). Monday in Brewerton at 68 degrees and 6:30pm had drawn a crowd of about 20. Finally as we turned to leave, our waitress seated us at the requested table. Appetizer spicy shrimp arrived quickly and was tasty but luke warm. Salad was good with dressing served in a side container. Broiled haddock and salt potatoes were cooked perfectly. The fried haddock was salty but tender. Baked beans were peppery, but otherwise like canned. The fries were OK but frozen fried. One soda one draft brew bill $ 42. Not what one would expect for the price but view of water is OK. Waitress Angela good. Manager tried to blame seating delay on a new hostess and trying to understand her. Better to address and understand the customer then explain process to the newbie. Felt bad for her. Not on my return list.

Great Place to relax ! Dinner with family, or a Romantic evening out. Celebrate anything anytime, Have inside or outside which has great view of bridge and waterfront. Food was awesome and service was great. Music was just a bonus. Found the people there are friendly, and for someone to say it’s going downhill ?? It sure is busy, and people are still returning happy, including me !!

Brief summary: looking for a local bar? they have it. looking for a seated serve american restaurant? they have it. looking for a great view of the bridge and water? they have the best. 7:30pm reservation on a Thursday evening. First visit to the restaurant, was visiting for dinner and cigars with a group of friends. Don’t be deterred by the name, the location is divided into what I would consider three main areas the tavern/local bar with dinning room, the outside deck: seated serve, and a second bar all the way on the end half covered and half open air. The far bar seems to collect some smokers which is acceptable because it is far enough away not to bother anyone in the seated section. The place a tiki feel to it, however the the menu is a bit more complicated. Drink menu is very simple, and the dinner menu starts with a bunch of seafood/American style cuisine. They had a whole page of handwritten dinner specials which included 2−4−1 steamed clams, and a crab-stuffed shrimp options. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, mediocre at best but honestly everything else I tried has fantastic, clams were cooked perfectly, I tried the escargot which was on point, and the fries were fresh and delicious. I think I was the only person who didn’t order fish, or mussels and all of looked amazing, generous portions, and the guys loved it. We had Mallory as our server, she was kind, knowledgable and available anytime we needed her; thank you very much. Music played till 9:00pm, and we were kindly booted out the door at close. My biggest hang up was the Mosquitos and a little bug spray handled that perfectly.

This place has gone downhill. Waitress had no menu knowledge. I asked what craft beers were and she stated all the beers they have, the last one being an «IPA». I then asked what it was and she said, oh I don’t know. I had to ask her to go check. I then asked her what kind of white wine she had and she said, it nothing fancy, your typical wine. We ordered the eggplant Parmesan that comes with two meatballs. They were frozen in the middle. My mother asked about how they were made and about if they are fresh, she replied with… I don’t know what the kitchen does back there. She then brought another set out and they were cold again. She never checked back to see, though. Will skip here and go to Borios next time.

A great view, too bad the food sucks. I was excited to see a new salad on the menu as I try to eat healthy. The menu said it was a salad with fruit and roasted turkey. I assumed the roasted turkey would be restaurant quality, not cheap rolled up cold cuts that came on top of a salad with a few chunks of fruit and lousy tasting dressing. I def had a moment where I felt like crying when I saw it, mostly from low blood sugar, but also due to disappointment. If beer and wings is your thing, but if you’re into quality food, it’s a must skip!

If you love a menu full of fried food and like to drink garbage beer then don’t pay attention to my poor ratings and head on over. The deck is very nice and they often have live entertainment, so if your motive is to hangout, put down some coors lights, eat some clam strips and listen to some music with the water in the background, then I certainly wouldn’t steer you away from it. If your also looking to have some really good eats thrown into the equation… Steer clear.
