I really wish I would have read the reviews prior to shopping here. My husband and I are big fans of Miele appliances and West Coast carried them. We ordered a professional series washer and dryer as well as the pedestals. Our sales person said it was only $ 30 to deliver to Klamath Falls, we thought that was a great deal, turns out it was $ 200 and she had to charge us another $ 170. She said she was new and not from the area and didn’t know where Klamath Falls was. We learned as the truck was on its way over that the pedestals needed to be installed on concrete and bolted to the floor, well we don’t have concrete floors and I was not about to put huge bolts through the floor in our new laundry room, we tried the pedestals but all they were was a stainless steel box! At first run of the washing machine it had a terrible squeaking noise and spun out of control and I thought was going to end up in the living room, I assumed it was because we didn’t have the pedestals bolted down. We got them to agree to take the pedestals back because their installation instructions hadn’t been disclosed to us prior to purchase. When running the machine without the pedestal, I had the same problem. Upon closer inspection the drum to the machine appears to have been damaged as it was loose and what was making all of the racket. West Coast is refusing to take the appliances back, sales person says she cannot authorize anything, says her sales manager only said he’d take the pedestals back, and his boss is out on vacation for the next two weeks(how convenient). They have extremely poor customer service and are refusing to stand behind their product that turns out they know nothing about. We had to spend over $ 500 on an electrician to wire for new plugs because these machines electrical cords are not standard, again something that wasn’t disclosed. We are currently having to dispute this with our credit card company. They have stopped taking our calls and my husband has been very cordial to them, but our patience has run out.

Sold us a dishwasher for our break room that kept leaking. When they came out to fix it they said it wasn’t installed properly and now the seal was bad and charged us for each service call even though they installed it. Then gave us a «deal» to replace it and sold us a floor model that never worked. You would push the start button, it would blink a few times then nothing. So, they sold us defective appliances then gave us terrible service after the sale.

Horrible Customer Service Experience… After scheduling a repair appointment, in which I clarified multiple times on the location and okayed the extra fuel charges, they cancelled the day of. I had made the appointment three weeks in advance, gave them the model numbers, and had our appointment confirmed by messages at all three of our phone numbers. They called me that morning and verified the address and then called back to cancel. I explained that I had confirmed all of this plus I had taken the day off of work to meet them, «not our problem» was the response they gave. «You were misinformed by the new person who took the order for service» is what I was told. However, I had the names written down of the three different people I had talked with and confirmed our appointment with. When I asked to speak to the manager of the Repair Department she told the receptionist that she wouldn’t speak to me. I was furious and I apologized to the receptionist for my anger, knowing it wasn’t her fault that she had to work for such an unprofessional coward. My husband stopped by their store 10 minutes later and asked to make a formal complaint about the repair department and that he was very upset with the situation. When my husband raised his voice in the store the main manager took notice and came over, but when my husband explained the situation the manager stated, «Well it sounds like you were misinformed repeatedly, but there’s nothing I can do.» Well there is something I can do, after buying over $ 6000.00 in appliances from them, I will never go back. My home is 45 minutes fro their warehouse, which was to far to drive to service even though they were going to charge me an extra fuel cost. They sell good quality appliances, but their service department is awful! You can order the same appliances through other stores…

Called for repair of our 3 year old Frigidaire dishwasher. The service person looked at it for less than 10 minutes then said it couldn’t be fixed because the parts weren’t being manufactured anymore and then he tried hard to sell me a new one. I paid him $ 45 and sent him on his way. I could tell I was being flim-flammed. Then my husband got on the Internet, found the parts and fixed it himself. So my husband gets 5 stars: these folks get negative 5 stars!!! I notice a lot of other customers have had bad experiences as well. I can tell you this is one company we will definitely never call again.

There was an ad that said cabinets were $ 300.and delivery was available. The salesman said there were 3 sets available and the price was $ 300 no matter which set we liked. Spent 3 hours and two trips to the store — measuring everything but went to pay and he said the set I decided on was $ 500. When I told him he had quoted us $ 300 yesterday — he lied and said he never said that — even though both my husband and myself know what he said. Plus delivery would be $ 100 — he said the ad did not offer delivery — but it was still posted(but did not say it would cost extra). I asked to talk with the manager but he would not even come to talk with us. DONOTTRUSTWESTCOASTAPPLIANCE… THEYLIE.

Where to start? The dishwasher installer could not install it «didn’t have the right bits». When there was a problem, I was told to call the manufacturer. Finally they sent out a repair guy, although good, had not been fully informed of the problem. 2 weeks later returns with a part … didn’t help. «I think it needs replacing» he tells me, on a Thursday morning, in the afternoon I call to see what up. The(non) service dept tells me they will call Monday, as Friday is her day off. I call the manufacturer myself and get a replacement. 4 weeks after this started a new machine arrives, and is installed by a «certified installer». He test runs it, all is good and off he goes BUTHELEFTALLTHEPAPERWORKINTHEMACHINE. Way to go. The moral is, read reviews BEFORE going to the store,

We bought several appliances here for a home remodel and the service was good, nothing outstanding… BUT…several months later it was determined that a mistake had been made and our refrigerator had not been included on the extra warranty we purchased. When I noticed and called them about it, they said that too much time had passed to add it, but they offered to purchase another warranty at their cost to cover the refrigerator. I didn’t even have to ask, they just offered the solution and took care of it. I appreciated them going above and beyond with the customer service, it made an impact on me.

If you need one refrigerator or one hundred, these guys have you covered. Good, professional service. Some good deals if you look; if you need a specific unit, they can get it, but expect to pay retail. Can get some units(e.g., Speed Queen washers and dryers) that most others can’t. Local Viking dealer.

I was looking for a full set of new appliances when I went to West Coast Appliance. As a single woman, I was treated terribly. I was lied to about energy efficiency and spoken to like I knew nothing. I was treated like a bother rather than a real person. And there was no attempt to get me what I wanted — instead they just wanted to sell what was on the floor. Afterwards, I went to Active Appliance in Ashland and it was like night and day. Joel really listened and helped me find exactly what I was looking for!

I purchased a dishwasher from these guys. Do not shop here if you cannot handle high pressure sales(eg, «you must buy now otherwise it may be weeks before we place an order with this manufacturer»). When the dishwasher arrived it was the wrong model. I agreed to accept it, and told them to proceed with the installation I had already paid them for. They showed up on time, but after 1 – 2 hours declared they were unable to install the dishwasher as it required an electrician to connect it up — which I would have to pay for. By now I had had enough and I told them to take the dishwasher away and refund my money. In the process they damaged my brand new kitchen cabinets. They said they would have them repaired but I never heard from them again and I had to have my own cabinet guy fix them. Overall a very poor experience and a waste of time for all.
