Had a lovely lunch here on vacation on of all days Mothers Day. Service was good and the pastrami panni and french dip sandwiches were wonderful The strawberry pie reminded me of the old Shoneys Big Boys of years gone by. I will eat at this chain when ever possible

Arrived to this location during a terrible heat wave so the AC cranked up was a plus! This restaurant is located in the La Quinta parking lot where I was staying for the night so that was convenient as well.(Read my La Quinta review before staying there however!) The wait staff was excellent and was very fast in execution. My burger patty was a little overcooked when I had asked for it to be ‘No pink’, I ate it anyway and didn’t bring it up since everything else was excellent. Kids cups were refilled(very rarely happens at any location) so I give a kudos for that as well. Overall it was a typical Shari’s experience but I gave it that one extra star just for the personnel. I don’t know what our waiters name was but he is easily noticeable with his sweet mustache curled up like a cartoon villain.

First and most likely that last visit here. Seated in about 5 minutes from walking in the front door. Another 5 minutes and I had a beer. Ordered and in about 30 minutes they tell me half my order is done and ask if I want to start on that. I say sure and they bring my T-bone out that I ordered medium and itvis blue rare. Tell the waitress and she tells me both of the cooks working are new and do I want another t-bone. Not a chance. The waitress did bust her ass and did a good job to bad not the same can be said for the kitchen staff.

I received a Email about a special breakfast, I ordered what I thought was a Chicken fried steak breakfast priced at $ 8.99 … when it arrived it was two slices of air filled bread toast, one small sausage patty, very thick gravy that would not pour out of the dish, and one fried egg… tasteless and almost cold… Needless to say… Not the way to get return customers!!!

A bit gloomy and a bit outdated… Food was mediocre but I guess it doesn’t matter since their pies are what this place is all about. Go on a Wednesday and you’ll get a slice of pie for free with any meal.

Arrived at 8:27am, it is now 9:06 and still no coffee refill or breakfast. Can’t seem to get a waitress to even walk by. Breakfast arrived at 9:11 and coffee. Waiter was apologetic. Seemed to have been on a black hole today. Katie was the saving grace for this visit. Will try them again to see if a pattern.

We traveled almost 700 miles on my husband’s 40th birthday, all he asked for was a piece of Chocolate Peanut Butter pie from a Sharis, the 1st location didn’t have it, the 2nd I called up the road, Central Point, said they did, and after completely screwing up his food, didn’t even have the pie to begin with even though they told me they did. A phone call another 24 miles down the road, the gals at Grants Pass, had it, and held onto it for us. If you’re traveling I-5, you’re in better hands going to the Grants Pass one and letting the gals there take care of ya! I was in tears when they told me I’d been lied to, and then had to wait almost an extra 45 mins for the right meal to be made. When I told them he didn’t like any other kind, I was finally offered a piece of another pie. No offer of apology for the food mistake either. Nope, just let a customer stand there in tears, feeling like crap for not being able to give her husband his birthday wish. We won’t ever be back to this location again. The only saving grace was the waitress we were given after the waiter never showed back up again took care of calling and reserving the pie for us.

Traveling through the area and took the family for dinner since we were staying in hotel across the street… Service was awful!!! Three out of the five dinners ordered was wrong… Kinda hard to mess up two eggs with toast, but of course they forgot to put the second egg on the plate. Took 10 minutes to cook that second egg. Must have been waiting for the chicken to lay it… Then after almost finishing the plate I located the cook’s hair in my hash browns … I showed the manager and he apologized saying the place got busy… Busy? Doing what? Shedding? Don’t eat here

Close to the Freeway, a bit overpriced, I had the eggs benedict, and for some reason, it had no taste, like the factory chicken eggs, where they never see the light of day. I’ve had free range eggs, that have much more flavor, just kind of bland for my taste, the hash browns were good. Coffee was bad American, 7⁄11 variety. Normally I try to seek out a locally owned mom and pop business, organic, but when you’re in a hurry to get back on the road, it’s time consuming. Thanks to Unilocal it’s easier to do that. My father always got off the freeway, into the heart of America to find real home cooked food, with tips from the locals. I miss those places now that everything has become a corporate cookie cutter Franchise

Very pleasant break from the usual diner. The pies are excellent, and the staff were very gracious.

The food is okay. I wish there was an IHOP nearby. The prices aren’t too bad. And the service is below okay but not bad. When the waitress brought us our silverware, she just left everything in a pile instead of separating on everyone’s napkins. Probably won’t be coming back anytime in the near(or maybe far) future.

This place seems to be going downhill rapidly, and I think I know why. We have been there 4 – 5 times since my last review, and yesterday is probably the last time. Always new faces in the waitstaff, why the turnover? Hubby ordered the Chicken Fajita Omelette, with hash browns, I ordered the ½ order Eggs Benedict, with hash browns. When they arrived, his was hot and well-prepared, hashbrowns perfect, just off the stove. Mine was cold, and the hashbrowns overcooked and cold, and hard. Admittedly, it was ‘breakfast for dinner’, but why did one sit in the window for 15 minutes before the other was ready? And how can two orders of hashbrowns be so different? It was sent back, and replaced very promptly with a new order, which was hot and tasty. Our waitress remained unfailingly polite and prompt, I will never fault the service. What I found interesting, is they have a survey on your bill that they will ask you to take sometimes, regarding the food and the service. We were informed by another employee, that if you mention anything negative about the food(cold, not good, etc…), that the SERVER loses some sort of company rank points. Why should the waitstaff be held responsible for faults of the kitchen? I think maybe that is the reason for the high turnover, and I declined to take the survey. If I took it honestly, it would be held against our server, and that’s not right.

As close to the Medford Airport as this location is(as well as close to I-5) it’s a great place to stop for a late night pie run or early morning breakfast. Close to Denny’s quality, but a notch better, their breakfasts are affordable, the service is good, you get free-wi-fi and don’t forget a piece of pie. Come with those expectations and you’ll be satisfied.

Shari’s in Central Point is a great place to have breakfast. The manager Stacy is super awesome. Thanks for the great service for our large group. The food was good and the service was better. I would recommend this place.

Great food. Great service. The cleanliness and efficiency of this place is amazing. It’s hard to find a place like this anymore that offers such selections of food and friendly staff and that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Staying at hotel next door so had dinner here last night and breakfast this morning and I have to say, I’m quite impressed! Amazed.

Typical chain restaurant, similar to Dennys or Ihop, though I would say it seems a bit nicer. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Scramble, and really wasn’t too impressed(see picture I posted). There was barely any eggs, and the majority of the plate consisted of hash browns. Also, I ordered a piece of cherry cobbler to go, and wasn’t to happy that they had placed it sideways and then turned on it’s side in the paper bag given to me, basically with no care whatsoever for the survival of the pie when I got to eating it. Not positive to say here.
