What a great place! Just plain good fun for less than $ 10. Cori is a fantastic teacher, and no partner is necessary. I expected lots of older people, but there were also fabulously dressed, talented teenagers there. Don’t let the location (think industrial strip-​mall) dissuade you from going.

My wife and I go to the Shakespeare Festival every years; and we were delighted when, several years ago, we discovered the Evergreen Ballroom.
They have plenty of classes. But we were/​are interested only in the ballroom parties, which they host every Friday night — but check their web site
just to make sure (and to see other events).
The floor is large and very high quality. They play the usual mix of Latin, standard, and social dances. We have always found the dancers there very friendly, and many are quite accomplished.
One word of warning: the ballroom is difficult to find the first time, so get good directions before you set out.
